If you want to increase your action, you must gain more information and submit more fully to it.
The Lord knows that all things are received according to the law of cause and effect. He knows the causes for every outcome:
20 There is a law, irrevocably decreed in heaven before the foundations of this world, upon which all blessings are predicated—
21 And when we obtain any blessing from God, it is by obedience to that law upon which it is predicated. (D&C 130)
Having created all things, the Lord knows exactly how we can obtain whatever we seek:
14 I, the Lord, stretched out the heavens, and built the earth, my very handiwork; and all things therein are mine.
15 And it is my purpose to provide for my saints, for all things are mine.
16 But it must needs be done in mine own way... (D&C 104)
But the Lord knoweth all things from the beginning; wherefore, he prepareth a way to accomplish all his works among the children of men; for behold, he hath all power unto the fulfilling of all his words. And thus it is. Amen. (1 Nephi 9:6)
Action begets action. You increase action through acting according to what is available—both in seeking more information and changing or adding actions to bring yourself into accordance with what you learn.
