The lack of sophistication and extent of our questions limits our learning far more than our actual observations do. The way we ask questions will inform what we believe more than anything else. So much more information is available if we would just ask better questions.
In forming questions, we should be specific. Ill-formed questions yield less-effective answers. Yes/no questions unintentionally frame the situation in a way that constrains what truth can be conveyed. “Should I do ____” type questions, for example, force the answer to be option one or two, but do not open the door to a better option three.
God is not limited to one-word answers. He wants to actually speak to you. Do not betray your lack of faith by asking yes or no questions. The pinnacle of experience with God is not his giving you simple yes or no answers. You are not a puppet. He wants you to not only know what , but why . He wants to reason with you.
