...believe that ye must repent of your sins and forsake them, and humble yourselves before God; and ask in sincerity of heart that he would forgive you; and now, if you believe all these things see that ye do them. (Mosiah 4:10)
Salvation is not possible without God freely giving us what we do not deserve. This concept is called grace. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” (Ephesians 2:8) It is indisputable that God freely gave the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Does this mean that everyone is automatically saved, or that salvation is easy?
