On April 22, 2019, the Lord said to me: "I've exposed you to intercession, I've exposed you to the darkness that is present on the earth, and I've exposed you to the desolation that is coming. What have you done about it? While you have passed these things on valiantly to others, you have not made gain on what has been given. You ought to exercise charity for your fellowmen and take up the cross that extends beyond the passing of information to others, and continues into interceding in faith for the benefit of those who walk in the darkness. There is no such thing as a normal day. With the gifts I have given you, every day of your life ought to be full of urgency. You will be held accountable for all the good you could have done. Weep and wail for what is and what is to come."
In fulfilling that charge this morning, I was "weep[ing] and wail[ing] for what is and what is to come" and interceding for the men, women, and children of this nation. As part of that, I asked the Lord what he could do to exercise his mercy. I suggested some crisis that might hurt some relatively small amount of people but could help wake up the majority to their true state of depravity. I went through the limited events he has done in the past: terrorist attack, plague, major earthquake, famine, economic collapse, and so on. Every time I suggested one, the Lord showed me how it would bring down the whole system. He persuaded me that we have perverted our dominion over this earth to such an extent that we have recreated it in our fallen image and made it as frail and fragile as we ourselves are.
I wept. I said, "Dear God, surely there is something you can do. Surely there is something YOU can do." He said, "what can I do?"
All my ideas were too much for our system to bear. The only thing I could think of was for him to send out more calls to repentance from his servants--men and women who no one pays attention to. They produce YouTube videos, public talks, books, and blog posts. And yet the people say, "God has always sent prophets before calamity, but where are the prophets today? These poor men and women wear out their lives like an old shoe, suffering with great sacrifice, and yet the people can't even be bothered to read at their convenience or listen in their car to what the Lord is teaching through them.
Once in recent history I asked the Lord, "when will the end of this nation come?" He said, "when I have done all things possible to prevent it. When men have cut themselves off from me, and are past feeling, the end will come." I fear that we are drawing closer and closer to this point, because it seems the only tool God has left to call us to repentance is to use no-name prophets that people ignore. What more can he do? His only tool is to bring down the entire system.
Do you realize what that is going to be like? You will have absolutely nothing. Just as through this life the Lord gives us a space to prepare to endure the fire that comes with the increased awareness we are exposed to after we die, we are all given the option to front-load the lessons we need to learn to endure the end time desolation. After all, that desolation is not an arbitrary outpouring of God's wrath, but the outpouring of his indiscriminate fire--showing who has risen to that level of trust in and obedience to him and who has not. I know what is coming because I have walked through that fire. I imagine others have as well, though I don't know of them. Of all the people I know, maybe two currently have the tools needed to go through it. You aren't ready. You grossly underestimate how awful this will be for you and you grossly underestimate the likelihood that you will be overcome.
How do you fool yourself into believing it will be easy for you to trust God when everything in your life is taken away? When you can't even trust him now with all the blessings he has stuffed into your present life? We moan and groan when the toughest thing we can imagine is having to depend on welfare for our sustenance, a situation that is still better than 2/3 of people on this earth experience, and that would still qualify us as kings in any historical period known to man.
Will you repent when people all around you are suddenly dying from a disease for which there is no treatment? When the hospitals close because doctors stop showing up for work? When looters rage and the police stop answering the phone? When the power goes out and doesn't come back on? When the store's shelves empty and don't resupply? When the gold and silver you hoarded is as worthless as the dollars you bought it with? When you see tanks and armored personnel carriers roll into your town and gather everyone into buildings "for their safety", but the sinking feeling in your gut accurately predicts the holocaust of executions and exported slavery to come? Will you repent as you watch your loved ones die from diarrhea, minor infected cuts, UTIs, or any other disease that would have been easily treatable in the plenteous circumstances we had and wasted? How are you going to feel when you go a month without food? When you have literally nothing except the worn, torn, and wreaking clothes on your back? When your only source of water in two days is from a muddy ditch you happen upon while walking 18 hours a day, without a destination, in flight from mobs and soldiers who hunt you down like an animal? Will you then repent?
Repent NOW. Trust in God NOW. Reconcile everything in your life to him TODAY. Make the decision while it is easy to do. You absolutely need every day to prepare your heart for what is coming by learning to seek and obey God in all things under all circumstances.
