A bit ago, my friend shared with
me a post about a person who was fired from their job because they refused to check the mandated boxes of a certain question during a mandatory DEI training. I highly recommend you read the article.
In the days to come, I am going to share with you details that will help you see how important it is to tell the truth, even in seemingly small things.
In the past few years, there were people (including myself) who paid a high price for refusing to lie at work. We met or exceeded the standards of employment and kept our behavior within the bounds of our employers' expectations, but were pushed out because we refused to pretend to see things differently than we did.
Not all people have faced a similar trial. Some have, and did the right thing. Many others did, and did not do the right thing.
In the future, many more people will face trials such as these, and many more people will lose their livelihoods. The Lord is well aware of this. It is part of his plan. He has a way of taking care of his people.
Do not live by lies. Do not consent to sell the rich blessings of being a truthful person for something so fleeting as a mess of porridge. Careers will be lost, reputations will be sullied, but God endures forever, and our standing with him (and the manifold blessings he gives to the honest) are worth so much more than that.
