Actually, I get this. So this is the third of three talks today. Um The theme that we've been iterating over is that today is Rosh Hashanah. And what we've been doing is looking at that from different angles. And so the first trumpet blast, if you will, we talked about um marshaling an army. In the second
, we talked about how these trumpet blasts or flags or whatever it might be are used to signal and instruct the movements of the troops. And in this third and final talk, we'll be addressing the idea of an ensign is a voice of warning. So sometimes flags are used, say if you're on a boat, right? For
a warning. And that's what we'll be talking about tonight. The first point I'd like to make is so, so the, the, the parallel imagery that we've been laying out these three talk, three talks to so far is this idea of fruit. So we talked about the call to Christ, which is a call to bear fruit. So offering
the fruit was the first talk. The second talk is accepting the fruit and this talk is about denying the fruit to be preserved. You have to eat the fruit. So a good question is what is the fruit of the gospel? And why do you need it? So, to illustrate this, you need to understand that there are two states
and only two states. One is a state of decay. Ouch. It's called Death in Hell in the Scriptures. But there are a lot of other names for it. It's the verb to parish, which if you look that up in Hebrew, it's an amazingly deep word. There's no real English equivalent. As far as I know the other state is
a state of growth and improvement. Do you know what we call that one? Eternal life? The gospel is the means we have to enter the state of eternal life and to stay there, to enter in and abide the fruit of the gospel is similitude to Jesus Christ. The process of becoming and staying reconciled to how
he is as we learn more about him, that is eternal life. That's what it is, learning more about him and becoming more like him. If we're not reconciled to our sincere understanding of how Jesus is, if we, if we deviate from what we believe he would do in our place, we're, we're entering into the state
of decay. You can't isolate these things into specific acts, they're states and all it takes to shift. It's a light switch. You choose one or the other in every moment. And when we get into that state of decay, we're ever more exposed to ever increasing circumstances that will destroy our joy here and
hereafter, it's progressive or, or, or the opposite of that is as it is in this case, it's only in a state of alignment with God that we can overcome what would otherwise destroy us. And, and to get the point, destruction is not just an all at once thing. The Lord said this is from John 15. I am the
true vine and my father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, taketh away and every branch that beareth fruit. He purge it that it may bring forth more fruit. Abide in me and I in you as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it abide in the vine no more can ye except ye
abide in me. I am the vine. Ye are the branches he that abideth in me and I in him the same bringeth forth much fruit for without me. Ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch and is withered and men gather them and cast them into the fire and they're burned. Herein is
my father glorified that ye bear much fruit. So shall ye be my disciples in 3514? Picking up in verse 21 the Lord says, not everyone that saith unto me. Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my father who is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord Lord
, have we not prophesized in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils and in thy name done many wonderful works. And then I will profess to them. I never knew you depart from me, you that work iniquity. Therefore, whoso heareth these sayings of mine and doeth them. I will liken him unto a wise
man who built his house upon a rock and the rain descended and the floods came and the winds blew and beat upon that house and it fell not for, it was founded upon a rock and everyone that heareth these sayings of mine and doeth them not shall be likened unto a foolish man who built his house upon the
sand and the rain descended and the floods came and the winds blew and beat upon that house and it fell and great was the fall of it? The question is, are you built upon this rock because the storms have already begun and they'll continue to get far worse. Here's a question for you. If Zion came, would
you even notice you're waiting for God to bring Zion? But that's not how he said it would happen from Genesis 921 from the JST. God swore to enoch that when men should keep all my commandments, Zion should again come on the earth. This is troubling for at least two reasons. First, those who build Zion
obtain and live his law before inheriting the land. Not after this means that you're not waiting for God to bring Zion. God is waiting for you to bring Zion. Have you ever thought of that? It's true how by keeping all the commandments he's already given, it's only when you're living everything that's
been given that you'll be worthy of more. That's all over the scriptures and Zion will not come until someone on earth has learned and lived everything that Jesus has already taught until now. Second, even if God brought Zion right now as you expected him to before we've had this conversation, would
you notice? Would you even be invited? Because only those who keep all of His commandments would notice would be invited? Many think that they would show up to this just like the man in the parable of the king's supper. This is from Matthew 22 verses 12 and 13. The king responds to this person by saying
, friend, how camest thou in hither, not having a wedding garment and he was speechless, busted then said the king to the servants, bind him hand and foot and take him away and cast him into outer darkness. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth and maybe that sounds extreme. But you should look
up that word, friend. It's not the English word. It means fake friend. It's an enemy who's pretending to be a friendly person and a king must protect his kingdom. A shepherd must protect his flock and the wolves can't be there no matter how much like sheep. They may look note how God adjusts the assumptions
of the wicked that person described showed up to an invitation only banquet. He obviously thought he had a right to be there and God adjusted his expectation. That's the king's God in the parable. He wasn't just quickly removed. He certainly wasn't asked to leave. He was bound and chucked into prison
. He's punished. Can we confide that we've been, we, we've separated ourselves from the filth surrounding us based on anything less than actually keeping his commandments. Do you know that there were people who heard the prophets like Jeremiah warn that Jerusalem would be destroyed and stayed and even
though they thought they agreed with Him, they were destroyed just the same because they stayed. It didn't matter if they felt like they agreed with Jeremiah or not. You know, this happened twice that Jerusalem was destroyed at both times, ample warnings were given both times. There were many people
who heard the warnings but didn't change and they were destroyed. I see this meme online from time to time of painting the lintel and the meme is used to try to say that nothing. We do matters to God. We don't actually have to be righteous because these people were saved. Yeah, they painted the door
. That's the opposite of the point you're trying to make, you're proving yourself wrong, which is great. I don't have to say anything. Right. Right. But did you know that there were Israelites who didn't paint the door? There were surely Israelites who didn't do that? And what happened? Their first born
sons died. That's what happened. And maybe after that, the rest of the family, not that son went with Moses, maybe, maybe they doubled down into even greater stubbornness. Listen to this from Ezekiel 33 verse 31. This is the Lord telling Ezekiel how it's gonna go. He says they come unto thee as people
come and they sit before thee as my people and they hear thy words but they will not do them for with their mouth. They show much love but their heart goeth after their covetousness and lo thou art unto them is a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice and can play well on an instrument for
they hear their thy words, but they do them not. You're not preserved by coming to meetings, whether it's this meeting or any other meeting. You're not preserved by watching youtube videos, whether they're mine or anyone else's or by reading books. If you don't respond by living what you've learned,
that's what preserves people. You're not even preserved by donating money, which hurts me to say because at this point, I'm fully reliant on it, right? I'm deeply, deeply grateful for it for those of you who feel so inclined, very, very appreciative, but it's that it comes from a changed heart that matters
. Do you get that? You're not forgiven of your sins from donations? It's not the way it works. You're forgiven of your sins by doing what God would do in your place. That's it. Ok. You preserved by living up to the example of Jesus Christ. He's the fruit. He's the fruit of the tree of life as far as
you understand him to be. So what happens when too much light has been given without enough response? Well, I mean, not too long ago, maybe this would have to be figurative. There is a need for more light and truth to enable growth beyond the stagnancy of the past. And this was prophesized this from
Jacob 537 for example. And I'll be quoting from that and I encourage you to go reread the whole chapter because because of the length, I just can't do it in this talk. But verse 37 reads in part because that it hath brought forth so much evil fruit thou beholds that it begin to perish and it will soon
become ripened that it may be cast into the fire except we should do something for it to preserve it. And that was the state of the world up until relatively recently, more was needed. The trees couldn't be expected to grow good fruit, not in that environment. They had to be fertilized, you know, dunged
and dug up and all the things it says there, here's my question for you and I don't know if you've ever thought about it, but how much has been made available to you to us compared to what was given before? Have you ever thought about that? God is revealing much more information and much greater clarity
than what was previously had in the scriptures. There is so much more and it's so much clearer today. So you've already been shown more about Jesus, then you and very many people in the past ever knew. Have you changed accordingly? You put that in one side of the, the balance, what comes in the other
? What have you put into the other? And at what point do you intend to keep God's commandments? Is there any reason to believe that you'll begin to change accordingly? So balancing that out if you were given more time or more content? Is that what's missing? Is there any reason to believe that that's
what's missing? And I'll talk in a moment about why that question is very important. Have you noticed that in the scriptures, there are countless examples of people reacting with greater intensity to much less information. Have you noticed that if you start going through the examples? It's a little bone
chili here are some of them and on your own time, it would be an appropriate thing to look up these examples. See if you can find them, it's a challenge. Would you give away all your sins to know Him? Because many people have done that from just one sermon. Would you turn with your whole heart toward
God? Even if it cost you your family and friends as it has so many others? Would you follow God fully? Even if it cost your life following in the footsteps of many martyrs, including Jesus Christ himself. What would it take to do so? Because all of the people who've made these or other sacrifices did
so with less than what you have been given and all of them will stand as your judges. If you don't repent and live up to what you've received. And that judgment, it won't wait till death or the day of judgment to commence, it's already upon you when too much light is given without sufficient response
, God must respond to exposing, by exposing you to more of the negative consequences that obedience to that light would have protected you from where a law is given a penalty must be affixed. This is why delaying is never, this is never actually staying the same. We treat it that way, but delaying is
never staying the same. When you react to greater light and truth with anything but greater obedience, you can be assured that you're marching headlong into greater suffering and you say, but but don't people have to be warned. Some of you have heard the things that, that I've been teaching for more
than 10 years. The Lord preached for three and listen to something that he said in Luke 13, he spake also this parable, a certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard and he came and he sought fruit thereon and found none. Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard. Behold these three years
, I come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none. Cut it down. Why come with it? The ground? And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also till I shall dig about it and dung it and if it bear fruit well, well and if not, then after that, thou shall cut it down. Servants can only
ask this so many times you have leaves Christ has been preached to you. But where's your fruit? Where are those who have become like him? Exodus 1511. Where are those who can stand and say I only do what pleases the father as he did see John 829 who can say I seek not mine own will but the will of the
father John 530 who has heard and answered the voice of the master? See John 10 4 who will follow the lamb wherever he goes. See revelation 14 4. You see this is the call we are talking about in the first talk. Today, we have to answer the call. What person in this nation doesn't know about Jesus Christ
. Know about him. I didn't say know him, know about him and yet who lives how he would, what person in this state does not know about the book of Mormon and yet who live? What it says? How many years have you had? How many generations have you had? I tell you, if God destroyed this state tomorrow, could
any of us complain that it was unfair if God destroyed this entire nation tomorrow? Could any of us complain that it was unfair? That's not what's keeping us here? The question is raised quite literally. I've heard people say it. Will the United States or Utah get in a bendy or Samuel of the Lamon or
an Alma? Don't you realize that this state and this country have already had so much more than e either? But it's three people. Either these three people, any of these three people provide it. There's already been more than that. Look at the source. If you don't believe me, what did the priests of Noah
get from Abedi? What did the people of Zara Amla get from Samuel the Lamon night? What did the people of Amon? I get from Alma and Ali, you had more than any of those people in place of a single sermon. You get more than 500 you can replay them anytime you can read the transcripts, you can do whatever
you'd like with them in the place of just the scriptures like they had, you've had thousands of pages on how and why to repent. But what is your response been compared to those righteous people that were preached to in the scriptures? The fact that we take God's warning lightly, it doesn't mean that
it hasn't been given. Now. The scary part is what consequences have you experienced compared to those in the scriptures who rejected much lesser warnings? You can ignore this, but God can't, his justice hangs over you. But isn't there still more that God could do in Jacob five? The Lord laments what
more could be done for my vineyard? And because he says that we know that there has to be a point where there isn't any more that he could do in that parable. His servant begs him to spare the vineyard a little longer while he and his fellow servants do what they still can. So we know that even when
God has exhausted what he can do, personally, he can still send servants to do more. The question is, is there also a limit on what the servants can do? The answer is yes, I will illustrate just one piece of this when unbelief is so great that rational arguments do not change people. That's one sign
that there's nothing more that servants can do because that's their tool, right? Are we there yet? I won't answer that question, but I'll tell you that across all scenarios in this country. It doesn't matter. We don't have to just be talking about religious things across all scenarios in this country
. The question of what more can be said can be increasingly asked. People don't change their minds anymore by and large. There are exceptions still, but increasingly there are fewer paths open to reason who's still open to hearing arguments, opposing what they presently believe, who isn't blind to evidence
that what they current currently believe is wrong. It doesn't matter how obvious or strong that evidence is. For example, could there be any greater measure of unbelief than to persist in believing that a man who has had his entire professional career is an acclaimed medical doctor and claims to be a
prophet somehow thought that the COVID shot was a good idea. And yet how many people say yes, this man is a prophet, that's unbelief, that's what it is. What more could be done to show you that that's not the case, the you is the global you there, whether you believe that or not, a lot of people around
here do so. If the voice of reason hasn't already been exhausted, how much more could possibly remain? Do you know what comes after the voice of reason? The voice of famine, civil unrest, war and pestilence. That's what comes every single time in the scriptures. It's an eternal law and all of these things
are upon us even at the very doors. The question is how long do we have? Because God's mercy is so great. He will allow people to remain even after they've been sufficiently warned and exhaustively persuaded His wrath flows according to the needs of the righteous. He removes the dead branches and bad
fruit, inasmuch as they impede the growth of good fruit and as the good fruit appears. So one thing that, that activates this is when the bad fruit causes undue harm. God allows the righteous to suffer persecution for the benefit of the world. The righteous are blessed with the opportunity to suffer
for the name of Christ which gives them great joy and eternity. And the wicked are blessed to have the last witness, their wounded faculties can perceive the the visceral suffering of innocent people by their own hands. That's the last thing that they can perceive. But there's a limit to what God will
allow and when the wicked are ripe in iniquity, they're destroyed. There's a limit to what he allows. Alma 559 for what shepherd is there among you having many sheep doth not watch over them that the wolves enter not and devour his flock and behold if a wolf enter his flock doth, he not drive him out
. Yeah. And at the last, if he can, he will destroy him. Some of the other references for this idea can be found in Jacob 57 through nine and 57 to 59. There's also a limit to how many bad examples. God will allow God commands us to be such effective examples of how He is that through merely knowing
us others come to know Him better. The presence of bad examples has the opposite effect. It keeps people from knowing God and becoming more like Him. And God will remove those people from Jacob 535. And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard said unto his servant, the tree profiteth me nothing
and the roots thereof profit me nothing. So long as it shall bring forth evil fruit around the world. Billions of fake Christians repel the Lord's lost sheep through the practice of a false gospel that celebrates rather than forsakes sin. These same supposed Christians turn up their noses at the pleas
of increasing numbers of real Christians who bear the loss of their livelihoods, their homes or their lives because they live as they believe Jesus would in their place. Christians are meant to be a chosen generation, a royal priesthood and holy nation. A peculiar people that ye should show forth the
praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness and his marvelous light. That's from First Peter 29 and in Deuteronomy 14 2, we read in holy people unto the Lord, thy God and the Lord hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself above all the nations that are upon the earth, not above as
in uh uh uh forceful power trip. But above as in closer to God and how you are, are you above all the nations that are upon the earth? Why are you worse than the rest? Because you're no better than them? In spite of having access to and professing belief in the most high God is Utah better or worse than
the rest of the nation. How much more light is available? But where are the fruits? Where are those who are like Jesus? Where are those who respond to his servants as they would? The Lord himself instead of fruit? The petulant example of millions of fake. Mormons provides a seemingly insurmountable barrier
for people who might otherwise read the book of Mormon. Rest assured that God will judge those who had and turned away from greater light before he judges those with less from Helaman seven. It shall be better for the Lamanites than you except ye shall repent for behold, they are more righteous than
you for. They have not sinned against that great knowledge which ye have received. Therefore, the Lord will be merciful unto them. Yeah, he will lengthen out their days and increase their seed even when thou shalt be utterly destroyed, except thou shalt repent, repent. Even now this land groans under
God's curse. It's manifested in ever increasing addiction, suicide, overdose pornography, rotten marriages, abortion, depression, anxiety and economic hardship. These things are all true across the nation, but Utah leads the nation in most of these things. This state and nation has turned its back on
God and God is turning his back on you in this state and across this nation, God has already begun purging his trees and he will continue to do so with increasing intensity and rapidity, the wicked will be removed as the more righteous appear. The Canaanites were left alone for 400 years. Even though
they were wicked. Why? Because they weren't in the way of a better people. The moment Moses came on the scene, the Israelites needed and were capable of obtaining the promised land. The Canaanites were suddenly in the way and justice suddenly swept clean. There are two promised lands on this planet and
you're living in one. You claim to believe in the book of Mormon and it's replete with the promise that those who live here but do not live God's commandments will be swept clean from off the land and yet you continually, you continue to willfully sin against Him. God will provide a people worthy of
his glory. You get to choose whether you're numbered among them or replaced by them. Jacob 565 and 66. And as they begin to grow, ye shall clear away the branches which bring forth bitter fruit according to the strength of the good and the size thereof for it grieves me that I should lose the trees of
my vineyard. Wherefore ye shall clear away the bad according as the good shall grow that the root and the top may be equal in strength until the good shall overcome the bad and the bad be hewn down and cast into the fire that they cumber, not the ground of my vineyard. And thus, will I sweep away the
bad out of my vineyard? Judging by the tens of millions of people with Israelite blood who have miraculously and suddenly flooded across the border into the United States in the last three years. Would anyone like to guess as to how it's going? Understand that the only reason you still have access to
greater light from God. The only reason is that others better than you have not yet arisen, but they will, they will intensely consume and obey the same materials that you've taken lightly and when they do God will cut you off or cut you down. So my question is, how long will you wait to repent from
Alma five? Starting in verse 32 yay. Even woe unto all ye workers of iniquity, repent, repent for the Lord God hath spoken it. Behold. He sendeth an invitation unto all men for, for the arms of mercy are extended towards them and He saith repent and I will receive you. Yay. He saith. Come unto me and
ye shall partake of the fruit of the tree of life. Ye shall eat and drink of the bread in the waters of life freely. Yeah. Come unto me and bring forth works of righteousness and ye shall not be hewn down and cast into the fire. For behold, the time is at hand that whosoever bringeth forth not good fruit
or whosoever doeth not the works of righteousness. The same have cause to wail and mourn. How long will you delay repentance until you no longer have a choice until all the idols, the works of your hands that you value more than you value the hands that created. You are stripped out of your hands by
deprivation. Disaster and death. That exceeds what you currently imagine because that's coming. I've seen it. I felt it and I promise you in the utmost solemnity, you're not ready for that no matter what you've been through. And I know some of you have been through some really terrible things. You have
no idea how terrible this will be the day is coming. When you will need Jesus more than you've ever realized that you do. And you won't have him, the day will be spent. Your oil will be wasted. It. Having, instead of having fuel in your lamp, you will be the fuel to the fires that surround you. When
you experience the death, the starvation, the pain, the sickness, the violence, the predation, the exhaustion to whom will you call for help? Will you try to call to the God that you've continuously ignored? What comforting message will you give to those that you love as you watch them die? Because you'll
know full well the hell that await you both because you'll know that the good shepherd called to you continuously, but you didn't answer, you ignored him in that day. The best resource you'll have is the memory of what you were told before. And this is the actual meaning of Isaiah 30 verses 2021. When
you heard it, you didn't value live or share it, but you'll remember it in that day. And this is my own re rendering of that. The Lord will give you the bread of adversity in the water of affliction until your eyes recognize the teachers. He has sent you that you ignored and rejected. And when you turn
to the right or to the left, you will remember their words, instructing you showing you the way and giving you sufficient reasons to walk in it. So my invitation to you and whoever listens to this come out from Babylon awake, awake, put on thy strength. O Zion, put on thy beautiful garments. O Jerusalem
, the holy city. For henceforth, there shall no more. Come into thee. The uncircumcised and the unclean shake thyself from the dust. Arise and sit down o Jerusalem loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, o captive daughter of Zion for thus saith the Lord. Ye have sold yourselves for naught and ye shall
be redeemed without money. Alma five. And now I say unto you all you that are desirous to follow the voice of the good shepherd. Come ye out from the wicked and be separate and touch, not their unclean things and behold their name shall be blotted out that the names of the wicked shall not be numbered
among the names of the righteous. That the word of God may be fulfilled, which saith the names of the wicked shall not be mingled with the names of my people. For the names of the righteous shall be written in the book of Life and unto them will I grant an inheritance at my right hand. I invite you this
today's Rosh Hashanah and it enters into what, what's called the 10 days of repentance. And I invite you to take the next 10 days to pray to God in every spare moment you have and to beg Him to forgive you of your sins, beg Him for more time to fix yourself, to help others. Set yourself apart from the
world, leave behind the sins that so easily beset you and focus on his will in all things. Share what you've been taught with others. Rise up to the greater blessings he wants to give you. This is a hard talk to give the Lord put this on me about five months ago. It's not doom and gloom, it's love. It's
another chance I beg you to take this seriously. It's not a joke, it's not a pastime. It's not something you just go to, to hear something that, that tickles your ears. God has reached out his arm again for the last time and this is it. And whether these things happen tomorrow or a week from today or
a month or a year or 10 years, it doesn't matter. Every day is a precious gift to get ourselves right with God. And we have to stop wasting time. I hope you receive. This is a gift of love that it is in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. And that being said, sorry. Well, in the recording.
