All right, we wanna talk a little bit about the news behind the news. Ok. So here's the headline from zero Hes Supreme Court justices, Thomas and Alito issue warnings about State of America. All right, here's the thing. So that's these two. Here, here's the thing I've been telling you for a long time
. Things like you, you're going to continue to see increasing constraints on freedom of speech and that you should really pay attention because what people are willing to do to one another is a lot worse than you think. And it's already happening in limited situations, but the foundation is gone and
the, the dams already burst. It just hasn't hit you yet, but it will, ok? Either directly or or indirectly through people. You depend on who will be affected. Ok? That's what's going to happen. We have this illusion of being independent people, one from another. We, we're very, uh we're very off in our
estimation of how reliant we are upon everyone else. We are more intertwined as, as a species than we have ever been because of complexity and technology and the way the economy, the modern economy works, fake money. Basically, it's in intertwined us all very tightly coupled. Ok. So what happens to one
person is going to affect everyone else to a much greater degree than any time in history. So I want to read to you some, some quotes from these two people. Justice Thomas and Justice Alito, these are not fringe people. These are two of the, the highest, uh, the two of the justices from the highest court
in the land, they have been selected hopefully for their wisdom and prudence in their, in their, in their um critical thinking, their judgment, their judges right. Here's what, what justice Thomas said. He said we're in a world where the nastiness and the lies. It's just incredible. He's talking about
the two or three years that he's been through with all these accusations of false dealing and accepting bribes. And if you're familiar with his story, there's a really nice documentary on what's that? Uh The Daily Wire has one, a, a biographical documentary of him. It's very interesting. And if you're
old enough, you remember in real time the hearings, he went through to be appointed to the Supreme Court, uh which Joe Biden was presiding over. But it is, it is horrific what they raked him through in order for him to get the job in the first place. If they tried it then, and they haven't given up since
with these false accusations to try to get rid of the guy. He's very inconvenient for them because he actually does his job. Now. Um, this is important too w during these most recent allegations, over 100 former Supreme court clerks, which incidentally it's not easy to get that job. Those are the best
, uh the best recent awardees of law degrees in the country get selected for those positions. And so those highly meritorious people, 100 of them put their names on a letter that defended his character. They called him a man of unwavering principle and unshakeable. They called these attacks malicious
and uh perpetuating the ugly assumption that the justice cannot think for himself. They're part of a larger attack on the court and its legitimacy as an institution. No. And, and they say the picture they painted of the court and the man for whom we worked bears no resemblance to reality. Now who would
know better than anyone else how Justice Thomas does his job, probably the people that work with him, right? And here's 100 of them saying that these accusations have no bearing on what we saw personally as boots on the ground, the people that would know the best or disagree, right? This is so important
and I made a video where I tried to address this. I'm not sure how well I did it but the people who know need to stand up and say something when the accusations roll in. But instead what they usually do is nothing. And one of the reasons they do that is cowardice because they don't want to take the heat
. They want the other person who's being attacked to receive all the heat. They don't want to join in with that. So it's fear, it's cowardice and fear. But these people, they stood up for him and I, I think that's wonderful. Right. As I would in any situation like this where someone's being accused by
people who don't know who have an agenda, an ugly agenda and the people that do know, stand up for that person. That's great. Ok. But coming back to the point of this, he's saying we live in a really bad time when people are just plain nasty and they're willing to lie to an incredible extent. That's
what he said. Just the nastiness in their lives is just incredible. Ok? It's a world that seems mean spirited, which he's, he's, he's a, he's being very nice about it. All right. What did Justice Alito say? These are on two separate occasions? But the same day, uh so they weren't related other than the
fact that these two folks work together and they're both Supreme Court justices. So Justice Alito said at a, an address at a, at a university, he said, um, let's see, troubled waters are slamming against some of our most fundamental principles, referring to freedom of speech, support for freedom of speech
is declining dangerously. Ok. So it's not just me and I'm, I am certainly out in, I'm not in left field, but I'm out in a field on my own telling you certain things where there aren't other voices saying the same thing. This is not one of those topics. The erosion of free speech is a very real thing
that, that the best and brightest people are talking about and worried about. They're concerned about this Supreme Court Justices are concerned about this. The fact that it seems maybe like something you're not hearing about from many people just tells you how compromised your channels of information
are, how non meritocratic those channels are. Do you get what I'm saying? If, if this sounds like the voice in, in the wilderness, someone saying, look, freedom of speech is on its way out and it's big trouble for everybody. If that sounds like a conspiracy theory or something, that's just an oddball
thing to say or fear mongering or any of these other things you're showing that the channels of information that you use are co opted and corrupted because you are being manipulated to not see what's happening when it's very obvious because the best and brightest people see it and they're talking about
it. So I hope you take that seriously because I promise you these two things will affect your life. What, what Thomas calls the mean spirited shift in people, their nastiness in the lies and what Alito calls the declining, the dangerously declining support for freedom of speech those will absolutely
