With me. After all these parts, usually people don't watch multipart videos. On the one hand, I've got people who say, oh, we want 5 to 10 minute videos and then on the other, if you spread them out over multiple pieces, the views drop off anyway, I, I think it's probably obvious that while I spent some
time preparing these and it was a lot of time for my estimation. Um This was not something I poured over for days and days. The reason being that the other things that I'm doing in in my judgment are are much more important. And so I'm just trying to, to spend enough time on this that I can get the gist
across and leave it to others. And I think it's worth watching and thinking about and taking the time for that. But I apologize that these aren't terribly polished and this goes for all the videos that I make even the ones that you might find full of nuggets of use of value. Um And I think that there
are some particularly the more doctrinal ones that definitely fit that prescription, that description. My goodness, I must not have gotten enough sleep last night. Um This is just, these videos are just the crumbs off the table. I hope that there will come a time where I can sit and dedicate much more
time to. Here's an idea that I would like to share with people. What's the best way I could present it? Let me look up all the scriptures on it and make this really polished presentation and I'll do takes and I'll, I'll get it really clean for now. That's the kind of time that I spend on the books and
I don't foresee that I'll be able to spend that kind of time on anything else until those are done and who knows how long that will take. Anyway, thanks for letting me um shed light on that, but I wanted to share two afterthoughts with this, which I had intended to put into the, the previous videos,
but I um didn't see the note until after I recorded them. And so I need to make sure these are there. Ok. Here's the first one. The first one is I saw somewhere in being there or reading about it after the fact that the church, the, the land for Amanda Alman. And if you've been there is beautiful farmland
, just beautiful farmland that they lease the land to local farmers. And I don't know what the details of that arrangement are, but the symbolism of it is so interesting to me. Here's a place that's one of the most sacred sites in Mormonism. And not for the farmland. Right. Not because it's farmland
, but for the religious aspects of that, the spiritual, connecting to God kind of parts to that. And, uh, the best thing the L DS church can do with it is to have other people farm it and pay them for the privilege. And I guess it's better than having the land owned by random people, but I'm not sure
that's very interesting. Right. I guess they still get to preserve it. Looks nice. It's very nice. Um So I guess they get a say in preserving that, but I thought this was so interesting because imagine a dispensation of truth and the value in that truth. And then what's the best thing you can do with
it? Lease it out to people who can pay you for occupying the buildings basically. Do you see the connection I'm making here? That's, that's the L DS church in a nutshell. Just come pay us your tithing and you get access to these nice buildings. You get to claim that you're Mormon, you're not actually
gonna read or believe the book, but you can pretend to Mormonism has always been about improvement. It's always been about growing closer to God and who you are and what you do and how you feel is that an accurate characterization of any modern L DS denomination? I don't care what it's called, what organized
church does that instead it's not too far from just uh a lease on property, maybe intellectual property, copyrights and such in terms. Phrases. Anyway, thinking about that was, was kind of sad. It's kind of sad. So, all right. One other thought, this one I find very funny. I've said in these videos that
the experiences that I had were rich with symbolism and obviously, I've just shared the slightest little bit of that with you. Uh, both the experiences and my interpretation of them. I'm keeping most of that to myself. But here's one I will share. So Council Bluffs is a place and it's a big place. There
are a lot of people there and it's, it's named that, that's the name the Mormons gave it and it stuck. It used to be called something else. But that is where some significant things happened in church, L DS church history. Now, I'm specifically saying L DS church history. Whereas for the rest of these
videos, I've said Mormon history, unless I flubbed up, I tried to say that. And the reason is because its history shared by all Mormon branches. But L DS church history, the not shared part started right around Council Bluffs because of what happened there. And I'll leave you to look that up and that's
your, your prize because you'll find the story very funny once you find out what happened there. So we're driving and my wife, her job was to be the Navigator during this very long road trip that we were driving a lot of hours on. And I said, look, you just tell me where to go because, um, I'll handle
all the driving. But this is one thing I don't wanna have to worry about. So she had the gps on her phone and she was just saying, like echoing the instructions of the GPS. So we ended up taking the wrong exit at Council bluffs and we ended up in the wrong place and going the wrong direction. So we're
on this highway to a place we didn't want to go to. And I had a sense that that had happened when we were getting to the place where we had to turn. I started paying extra attention because I had a feeling we're gonna go the wrong way. I knew it was an important junction and most of the times on a long
road trip in the middle of nowhere, you just kind of staying on the same highway forever. But this was, there was gonna be some action here. And so I started paying closer attention and sure enough, my wife led us in the wrong direction and that was hilarious too. I was like, I should have known better
coming out of the Garden of Eden and to listen to directions from my wife. But um, we ended up taking the wrong exit around Council bluffs. So we were on a highway going the wrong direction. We had to notice it and turn around and go back the way we came. Now, I like to garden and there are situations
where say a tree is growing in a wonky way and maybe some of the branches die. So one of the things you can do is you can cut back the tree to the living tissue. Maybe you have to cut it down to a stump. There are several kinds of plants that if you cut them down to the stump, they'll actually regrow
even if the tree in its, in its upper areas is dead. So sometimes to get signs of life, you have to cut a tree, you have to prune it in a radical way and then you might get something coming out of the stump and it might regrow the whole tree. But this time the whole tree is living. If you want some interesting
insights, I recommend studying Jacob live from the book Mormon and you'll find some interesting things about that. So if you stuck with me this far, thank you for, for watching through this presentation. And I pray that the Lord blesses you with new insights into your own life and how to make changes
