I wanted to share two headlines that I saw recently in the news. This first one is from July 8th 2024. It says Newsom's California delivery drivers now being accompanied by armed guards due to crime concerns. Now, the article says what you'd expect a few years ago. Um I made a video where I said that
this would happen. I said that in at least that video, uh maybe at other times too. I said we would see that robberies would increase on delivery truck trucks, on postal service carriers, even on freight trains and all of those things have happened. Now, one interesting thing about all these changes
that happen is that in the modern world, change is constant, but those of us who I'd say are over 30 we remember a time when changes were not so constant. And what's happening is that with all these shifts, we're becoming desensitized to the frequency of shifts as more changes happen, of varying intensity
, people are less perceptive of them occurring. They've gotten used to, to things changing. Now, that's a good thing for resiliency, but it's a very bad thing for noticing differences and for correcting your life and for acknowledging things that maybe someone said years ago at a time when everyone thought
it was crazy because it seemed so unlikely. Here's another one, this headline says overlapping emergencies push countries to bolster food supply stocks. Um A pair of researchers wrote a paper called, well, uh the, the title of the paper is jargony. It's academic jargon. But the sub subtitle says revisiting
international buffer stocks in an age of overlapping emergencies. The paper itself, if I can find the the specific phrase here that I wanna share. Let's see, the paper itself points out the overlapping emergencies of war conflict, climate change and pandemic. Now those are very status quo modern terms
and phrases, the scriptural. Um the scriptural version of those ideas are something more like war, pestilence and famine. If you search those terms on upward thought.org, you're going to find that I have said a lot about that because that is a pattern that happens again and again and again, whenever
there is a people outside of the favor of the Lord, these things occur, I I didn't say civil violence, but I meant that war, civil violence, famine and pestilence. So years ago, I started telling you that that would happen and people thought I was crazy. And now we have academic researchers making the
case that that's happening today. And because of that, here's the kicker, we should have food buffers or long term food, short uh storage now they make the case for governmental intervention on this, as I've mentioned, governments don't really do that anymore. At least the United States doesn't do it
. The last one was phased out in the nineties. As far as I'm aware, we had a national grain storage for emergencies, just like we have a national, we used to have a national oil um, storage for emergencies and the feds have, have mostly used that up, but we used to have one for grains and we don't anymore
. So that's interesting. So, what do you do with all this? What do you do with, with the fact that there's somebody who's been telling you exactly what's going to happen years before when very few other people are saying these things. Well, I'll tell you some of the reactions that I've had. Most people
just ignore it. Some few say, oh, here's this super obscure person that no one had heard about who after the fact I found actually said the same thing you did when I spent 20 minutes googling it. Very few. Look at that and say, oh my goodness. Someone said this years before it happened, maybe the other
things that they say might be important. I met one person like that not too long ago who had only recently heard about all of this stuff that I've been saying and he said he really wanted to come to. This was at the American Fork talk. He wanted to come to that talk because, and somebody got it right
. It's very interesting to see the response from people when these things are told, told to you before they happen and then they happen. It's, it's, it's given to increase the credibility of the other things. These are a tool that God provides. Fulfilled predictions are a tool that God provides so that
you will lend credibility to the predictions that are as yet unfulfilled. It's very hard when you're in a cushy job or a cushy situation in your life to look at what might seem like an extreme instruction and an extreme invitation to change an invitation to change for consequences that seem far off or
unlikely. It's hard to look at those and exercise faith. So what God does is he'll give a person an accurate sense of things to come afar off and He will give with it. He will bundle with it instructions about what is about to happen in the near term. And when those two things are mixed together, it's
like a litmus test and it, it should, in an honest person, it should produce greater credibility for the other things, a greater sense of value for the other things. That's always the way it's worked. But people today are extremely hard hearted, they're not sensible people, they're not rational people
. So I hope that that doesn't describe you. I've told you many times and I will say it once again, war civil unrest, famine and pestilence are coming to the United States when they happen as they happen. It won't be all at once. It'll be a process with some sudden jolts in it. When they happen. You will
