I'd like to share a collection of thoughts I had recently on modern day haughtiness or over inflated self worth. And the focus of this talk will be men. But in order to introduce the topic, I'm going to start by speaking about women because what I wanna do is draw an analogy to uh between the use of
makeup by women and the use of makeup by, by men. And this is probably gonna go in a direction you're not expecting. So stay tuned. So first let's start with, with women. Now, I think it's well known that women artificially improve their appearance through makeup. There's a reason they wear it, it costs
money and it takes time to apply and it's not exactly comfortable to wear. And so there has to be a motive, there has to be a reason that makes it worthwhile. And so obviously women who wear makeup know that it has an effect. But I want to address the question of whether men really understand what's
going on. And I think in the modern time, more than in decades, past men kind of know the the deal a little bit more than they used to, thanks to the internet. Now, any guy can go online and look up what movie stars used to look like versus what they look like today. Or they could go on youtube and look
up makeup tutorials and they can see what women look like before and after they apply makeup. And I'm talking mostly about young men, young men who haven't known too many women too well. Haven't gone on lots of dates and been married or whatever and they can get a very good just of the degree of change
, but there's still an enormous under estimation of the effect of makeup and, and this, what's on the screen right now? If you talk to the average guy about what difference makeup makes, w what they're thinking is something like what's on the screen, you know, they'll, they'll, you take an 1819, 2025
year old guy on average and you say like, oh, well, what's the effect of makeup of women? This is what they're thinking and they'll say things like, oh, I think women with makeup look great there. It's just, you know, you don't, but they're clueless. Most of the women they're thinking about quote without
makeup are still wearing makeup, they're just not wearing porn star makeup, which has become a fad a thing where women just do these tutorials and they spend an hour doing all kinds of crazy. What before would only be able to be done by professional makeup artists because they can watch these tutorials
. And so this is what they think is gonna happen when the lady goes for a swim or gets out of the shower or you wake up next to her the next morning that this is what she's gonna look like. And, and no, that is only the case for young women who are particularly naturally beautiful and maybe you think
these ladies are attractive or not, it doesn't matter, everyone's got slightly different taste. But in general, if any single man were to take the entire female population and put them on a distribution, very few of these ladies would look comparable without makeup to what they do with makeup. And so
as we step down the scale here, this and again, your particular taste, who knows? I'm just trying to get a sample here and I'm not gonna spend the rest of my life getting screenshots of the internet of women with and without makeup. But this is more likely, you know, where the and I hate to use this
phrase, but this is what people say as you go to more and more average women, they start to look more and more just like boys without makeup on. They, they they become less feminine looking. And so what makeup is designed to do is make a woman look like an 18 year old attractive female. Those are two
separate things, young and beautiful is what makeup is designed to do. And then as you get into more common normal women, you know, and two of the ladies on this slide are famous. One's a supermodel. You know, the difference could be so stark that, that maybe without makeup, the lady looks like something
that meet you on a dark night under a bridge and try to eat you. And I'm not trying to be cruel here, this is reality. There is a reason why historically, almost all women were married by the time they were 22. And if they weren't, they didn't have a chance makeup used to be a very expensive and not
very effective tool. It's only in modern times where it's been, it's become commonplace and affordable, let alone professional tutorials of generations of knowledge and how to distort the female figure to look more attractive than it actually is. And I promise we're getting to men. Ok, I promise. But
this is all gonna feed right into it because there's an equivalent for men. That's what we're gonna talk about. And it's not all bad. I'm not anti makeup. I don't, I don't think that how can I phrase this correctly in many cases? It's a wonderful thing. Why not? No, why not frame a painting? Why not
? If it makes it look better? Great. Here's the problem. The frame isn't the painting. That's the problem in this reality distortion. You know, it'd be great if it was just a matter of framing. But when a woman thinks that what she looks like with makeup is what she looks like or when she intentionally
gets a guy to think that. Now I read a quote once I thought it was funny where a lady wrote something like men say that makeup is a lie and I don't get why I'm responsible for a man thinking that gold colored eyelids are real. Sorry. I had to think about that as I was remembering it. But, and I think
that's funny and true. Right. It's like, look, if a lady's eyelids are blue and you think that that's naturally what she looks like. You, you know, you're an idiot, but it's what we saw what we saw in the pictures. It's the degree of change that shocks men because you could, you could have women from
a wide range on the 1 to 10 scale elevate to a much higher level on that scale. And you don't know if it's one of these or one of these. That's the problem when you see her like this. Yeah. Sure blue is not, not you, you know, she's wearing makeup but you don't know if she looks like this or this and
there's no way to tell until she washes it off, which is why a great second date is to go swimming. So, um, you don't invest too much time not knowing what you're getting into. It's a, what do they call it in medicine? Informed consent. Right. Uh, just so, you know, though, while we're on the topic,
50% of women will not let their boyfriends see what they look like without makeup until after they've dated for a year or more. 50%. That's a crazy stat, why? Because most of them look like this and they know that they have way less of a chance to keep you if you're not committed to them because if they
showed up on the first date, you, you'd treat them completely differently and that's the problem. Ok? When a woman's self worth comes from what she looks like with makeup com, uh I shouldn't say that categorically when she weighs what she looks like with makeup more than she should. She will have an
over inflated self worth. What does that cause? Well, it causes entitlement in not looking at guys that are probably more on her level and that is a huge problem. Ok? Especially in the Tinder age because what's happening and you can look up the data on this. But girls that are five sixes and sevens,
they have two perfect pictures where they spent four hours doing their makeup or it's from five years ago when they weighed £20 less. And that's what they put on Tinder and then they'll get guys who are nines and tens who are willing to have a one night stand with them, but absolutely will not see them
ever again and won't dare tell anyone that they had anything to do with them. And so that happens, you know, once every four months or something, and the lady goes around thinking she's a nine or a 10 because we tend to judge our own physical attractiveness by the attractiveness of the people that are
attracted to us. Men do that and women do that. So that's created a huge problem. But that's not even the biggest problem. The bigger problem is that a woman's long term happiness will be severely curtailed by a, an inflated self worth and she's just all the time. Her head's gonna be spinning with, I
could do better. What else is there out there for me? And she's not going to get the joy of what she has if she's with a guy and that guy knows what she looks like without makeup because he's made it past the one year mark or he's smart and went on a second date where they went swimming and he's ok with
that. He loves her for who she is and he's grateful that she looks better with makeup, but he doesn't pretend that that's who she is. It's just the frame on the picture. You see the difference. It's a huge difference and the problems are very bad. They're so bad that you start looking at the Amish and
thinking, well, maybe they figured something out here because they don't wear makeup and obviously that has negative effects, but it also has positive effects and an individual can overcome this draw to have an over inflated self worth through makeup. But society, societally, we're failing so miserably
at this that if it has to be one way or the other, maybe no makeup is better. And that's a really sad thing. That's a really sad thing compounding all of this and making it much worse is that men tend to not think about aging and this is not the fault of women. It's squarely on the shoulders of men.
They're idiots and they don't think ahead to, to, to think, you know, 1015 years from now, what's she gonna look like? You? You know what's she gonna look like from 40 to 80? Because that's the majority of the time you will be with her. Even if you meet her super young, the vast majority of the time
you're going to be with her is gonna be after she turns 40 and news flash, women don't look the same. And so again, I'm not gonna spend the rest of my life taking screenshots off the internet, but it's out there, there's no excuse anymore. If this were 1964 you could be excused as a man for not knowing
that women turn into old ladies, but there's no excuse any more. You know, this is the lady from Top Gun who was supposed to be the sultry. I don't know, whatever bait for Tom Cruise. She looks like sloth from the goonies now. There's right. The lady from Weird Science, she looks like some kind of fish
. Meg Ryan looks like she fell into a wood chipper. Right. And these are movie stars. These are people who made their money on their beauty and had nothing else to do in their lives except spend all, you know, they had every reason to maintain this as long as they could. It's, it's going to happen and
you don't know how bad it's gonna be and you don't know when it's gonna happen, but you can guarantee it's gonna happen. And all of that has to feed back into how you act as a man in seeing this lady because you are seeing her right now and you have to integrate the rest of her life into that. And the
problem with this is that if you do that and you treat that lady consistently as you will for the rest of her life, a modern woman is probably not going to give you the time of day why? Because in their heads, they will always look this way and not just how they look without makeup, how they really are
, but how they look with makeup because in their minds they're a nine or a 10, even though in the reality, there are six or seven or worse and in 10 to 15 years they're going to be a three at best. In some cases, maybe it takes 20 years for them to get down to three but every single person goes down
the scale as, as they get older and girls go a lot faster than guys. That's the truth. Ok. How do men, have you seen this meme? I love this because this is really, this is how bad it is. Ok? This is how bad it is. You see a, a lady that's all dolled up. She could be as different in real life as this
guy is from the Aquaman guy. OK? So ladies, when you see this, this is what you're doing when you put makeup on. All right, this is what you're doing to the poor man. But again, picture frames are great. Picture frames are great. So this is not what I'm going to be talking about with makeup for men.
Here's what I'm talking about and you've never heard this before. Makeup is to women as the industrial revolution is to men. What if you go through and think about what women use makeup for and what it does for them? That's what the industrial revolution is to men. Why this matters is because for both
genders, their magic powers are going away, their delusions of self worth are going away and it's evaporating in real time. If you look around, ok? Prior to the industrial revolution, if the sun was shining, a man was working, those are long hours, that's 12 hours a day depending on where you live in
the earth it's 12 hours on the equator on the extremes. You have seasons in summertime. Might be 16 hours. Very, very few men work 16 hours a day today. Very few men. That alone is an enormous difference that, that we could talk about for a long time. But let's just keep going. There were very few wealthy
men. Wealth was a rare thing back in the day, almost everyone was a subsistence farmer. And what that means is they produced just about what they needed to, to survive. There wasn't a whole lot of surplus and so most families were really poor by today's standards, really poor. Of course, they didn't
have electricity or running water. But you can look up pictures of, of conditions because there were cameras before wealth became widespread. And uh you can see the kind of ho rundown houses, no paint on the exterior, really small, really small. And all the kids were just piled in there and everyone
had one set of clothes and the kids probably didn't have any shoes. A lot of times men were either slaves or indentured servants. In fact, of course, the data on this is gonna change depending on the time frame. But in the days of the colonies, one half to two thirds of people came over as indentured
servants. And the men would have to work for 4 to 7 years to pay off their passage. And so they're basically a slave for 4 to 7 years and then they were free to go with a little bit of money and then they could go and, and start their own homestead, which was an enormous amount of work to clear trees
and start planting crops. And this was the historic norm. Now, in this situation, if you were a woman, what would the offering be for men? Pretty abysmal. What you're looking at is, well, one you knew that as a single woman you could not get by, you were not physically capable of that in almost all cases
. And that if you had Children, someone would have to take care of you while those kids were growing older because your time would be spent with them. And then you need somebody to take care of you when you were older because you really wouldn't have the physical wherewithal to do the labor required
to make ends meet. And so your options would be basically a giant pool of not very impressive man. In almost every case, your life is going to be working all the time. Back then, you'd be working all the time in a tiny little shack with barely enough food to survive. And that was your life. But in comes
the industrial revolution. And now all of a sudden you take the same exact man who could only get by as an indentured servant, which I mentioned that is a way of getting passage across the ocean. But also people did this all the time just because they couldn't get by. There's no welfare back then. There
was no food stamps. There was no housing. If you are hard up on money, it is not very likely that family members had extra space for you. They didn't have 6000 square foot homes. They had a little shack. And so you'd have to go to a wealthy farmer who had somehow gotten ahead and bought more acreage
and say, look, we don't have any money. I'll work for you for five years. If you give me and my family a place to live and give us food to eat. And then that's the deal. Or you work for them without the indentured servitude, but you're still, you're working for them. And it's just very menial labor just
barely getting by. It's mostly charity on the part of the landowner because you're just not producing very much relative to what you cost. So all of a sudden machines come into the scene and a man can boost his input. In fact, he can do it 10 to 100 times over. And all of a sudden you put a chainsaw
in his hands or tractor under his butt and he can produce way more than 10 times the manual labor could. And now all of a sudden their surplus because where he was just getting by as one person or not getting by, not sufficiently getting by. Now, all of a sudden a lot of people have a lot of surplus
. Do you see how this all changes? And even if he's a straight up doofus, he could work a factory job where assembly lines made it possible to do one thing over and over and over and over again. And you could basically be legally retarded and still crank out all kinds of productivity. And so now people
have prosperity coming out of their nose and it changes everything. It's like makeup shifts, everything up to 10 scale for women. The industrial revolution shifted everything up to 10 scale for men. So until recently, there was so much prosperity, the people who would have been had to been slaves, willing
slaves to sell themselves into slavery. Those same people, we're able to have a house in a large family on their own independently. My own great grandfather, he was a vendor of produce. His job was to go to the docks in Baltimore City in his truck, pick up produce off the ships and drive it back to the
county where he lived and drop it off at the grocery stores and doing that, made enough money that he owned a home, a relatively nice home and raised eight kids. His wife did not work outside the home and one of his sons still lives in that house today. You cannot do anything like that today. And the
reason isn't just inflation, that's an oversimplification, but the prosperity is gone. The surplus is gone. It's shrinking every day and the high water mark is way higher than we are now. I mean, you used to be able to be a barber and be prosperous. Imagine raising a family as a barber today. So if you
own the shop and you're serving hipsters who are OK, paying 10 times what they should for a haircut, you might be able to do that. But if you're working in that shop or you just serve normal people who aren't gonna vastly overpay for simple things you can't get by. That's why almost every person that
cuts hair is a woman because you need two income. That's a nice supplemental income. You can't, you can't support a family on that same thing. Goes for butchers for bakers. Do you know how much a butcher gets paid today? The average is about 20 bucks an hour. You can get paid more than that driving buses
for the school system where I live. It starts at 2150. I think you can get paid more than that at Wendy's. So why are you gonna bundle up and be in a freezing cold? Uh Environment, cutting meat is a dangerous job. Saws and things and you have to do a lot of heavy lifting and awkward motions. So it's
a lot of wear and tear on your body for 20 bucks. No, thank you. So, the situation now it's, it's evaporated so much. The prosperity evaporated. So much that I think that almost no one in generation Z is ever going to buy their own home. Now, I have to qualify this because a whole bunch of people are
gonna come at me and say, what about this? What about this? I'm not talking about people whose parents paid the down payment on their house. I'm not talking about people who inherit the house from their boomer parents or grandparents. I'm saying people that go out and actually buy their own home. That
was a common thing. Not in my generation, I'm 40. And that's a rare thing for people my age to have been able to do the people older than me. That's a, it was a common thing for people to go out and buy their own home. They didn't need help from mommy and daddy to do it. They didn't need to inherit their
house from their grandparents. And now instead of just being able to like in the 19 seventies, you, you, the day you graduate high school, the day after you graduate high school, you could get up from bed, walk to the nearest employer, get a job and stay there until you retire and you'd be able to support
a family. Now, that's a slight over exaggeration but only slightly, it's closer to the truth than it is far away and compare that to today. When, if you look at the list of the of jobs that make over 100 K a year. It's a very short list. It's a very short list and 100 K a year is still not enough today
. You can't afford a house if your household income is 100 K a year. Not, not right now. And it's gonna get worse, not better. And of the people who have high paying jobs relative to everyone else, the average income is something like 44,000 a year. So even when you're making more than double the average
, it's still not enough. And amongst those, the real high earners, we're only talking about 1% of employee employees. That's about where you have to be, to be able to afford a house, which is crazy if you wanna be a single income family, if you want your wife to be able to stay at home with the kids
, which I just have to constantly drone out this reminder, even when a woman says it's not what she wants to do. A whole lot of them change their minds when the first baby comes. And then if you're not in a position where you can afford that, she will resent you and she'll blame you. So you need to,
to be in a place where you can afford this if you want to get married and have kids. So of those, almost all of them are men, only 7% of pilots are female, only 20% of programmers are female. 33% of dentists, 38% of doctors and that's not gonna change. You know why? Because it's not a lack of people
going to school for these things. More than half of students in dental school or med school are women, but less than half are practicing. Why? Because once they get into their thirties and, or have a kid, they drop out or they take fewer hours and so they have way lower pay compared to the highest in
those fields because they prefer family. Once they get into their thirties, there's an overwhelming preference for family over work. So what's my point with all of this? Again and again and again, we come back to the Pareto distribution. Human success, human prosperity is not normally distributed. The
illusion of the modern world makes it appear that way, but it is Peredo distributed. That's actually where the Peredo distribution was first discovered. And we are going to revert back to that. It's already happening right now. You look around and young people are so upset and understandably that it
seems so much harder today. Then in generations past to find a decent spouse, to raise a decent family, to earn enough money at work, to have a job that provides you some kind of meaning beyond your paycheck. How hard it seems to save money or get ahead or invest. It's not like the olden days where all
these things, relatively speaking were so much easier and they think that they're getting ripped off. And in a way I see that. I understand. But the truth is you're just getting more of reality than your parents and grandparents had. We're going back to the way it was before, the way it's always been
. And that's not necessarily a bad thing. And so you can't change that. Nothing you do is going to stop that. It's like trying to stop a river with your hands. The best thing you can do is build a boat and put a motor on that thing. So you can take it where you want on that river that you can't control
. You can't shift the river but you can change where you are on it. If you get in a canoe and you float down river, you'll end up at the same place as everyone else, which is a bad place. You'll be miserable, divorced, overweight, broke depressed. But if you build a boat and you make a life plan and
I've made videos about this, you can end up in a different place, but you're gonna have to go against the current all the time. So you get to decide where you're gonna be on that Patto curve. And if you do nothing, you're gonna be at the very beginning in the same miserable space as everyone else because
the male makeup is going away, it's going away. You aren't going to be able to sell fruit for a living and raise a family of eight kids and own a home. You're not gonna be able to go work at Costco and actually support a family or sell coffee somewhere. You actually have to figure out something you can
do to get way ahead of the curve financially. If you want to, to have a normal life. In the end times, you have to be exceptional to have a normal life because what we gauge as normal is not normal. It's the woman who's at nine when she's wearing makeup that took her an hour and you know, weeks of tutorials
to learn how to do and an hour to apply normal life is the guy selling fruit and somehow affording AAA home a stay at home wife and nine kids, eight kids. That's not normal. That's an aberration historically and it's gone, it's not going, it's already gone. So if you're going to encounter exceptional
success, which we used to call normal, you're going to have to be exceptional. The end times is going to correct expectations. It already is ok. So here's my summarizing blurb, nearly everything that modern men find attractive about women is actually a smokescreen. It's a lie. The true value that high
quality women provide is naturally rare in the number of women who refine their character into becoming high quality is much lower today than at any historical time. In spite of far more reasons and resources to do so, modern women evaluate themselves based on who they can project themselves to be instead
of how they actually are. They do this because it's easy and inexpensive to manufacture a projection of beauty and personality that far exceeds reality. And with this, they become deeply entitled to every good thing far beyond what they deserve and far beyond what's realistically available to more than
a few of the very best people. Modern men make the same mistakes. The cultural memory of men in the first world is based upon conditions that didn't exist before the industrial revolution. And whose most recent iteration was the generation who woke up the day after they graduated high school, walked
to the nearest workplace, got hired on the spot and enjoyed the life of a king. Thereafter, modern men base what they believe they deserve on the boon afforded to them by fossil fuels and the sacrifices of others to harness them. They feel entitled to independence power, a loving, faithful and attractive
spouse, Children, a home and happiness without realizing how rare any one of these things are let alone all of them. And what kind of person one has to be to merit them. The idea men use as the baseline of their power and worth comes from about 200 years of fossil fuels. If you take away fossil fuels
, everyone would revert to the historic norm. And that's where people lived at subsistence levels. And even then a lot of them had to be indentured servants or slaves just to survive. Modern men and women have a big problem with entitlement. The end times corrects this people will cease seeing themselves
