So some updates right now, we're working on upward thought.org and wanted to share how that's going. Um As a reminder, one of the main features of that site is going to be that you can search through the videos, books and blogs all on the same search bar and the results will come through. So we've got
transcripts of all of the videos, we've got it set up to transcribe using A I and um so it should be an integrated search result. Uh One obviously, one reason for that is to make things easier to find. But one thing I'm excited about is that the site also will list whatever I publish. Um chronologically
not, not in the search, but just on the home page. And so you won't miss a blog post or a video and you don't have to go anywhere else to find those things. Um It's clear to me because of the view counts that there are people who don't look at the blog. And that's unfortunate because there are some really
important things that I publish on there. Basically, my rule of thumb is just if I can type it faster and cleaner than I can say it. That's what I do and it saves me time. Some things are better written and said, so I encourage you to check the blog for now. But also sooner or later, this, this new site
is gonna come out and once it, once it does, I don't have any intention of continuing to post at upper thought.blogspot.com. I also don't have a reason as of yet to take anything down from there, but everything will be moved over all, all the posts that are on there now will be on Upper thought.org um
As well. Every video that's currently on youtube. So I, I don't anticipate a time where I will ever have videos that are on youtube that are not on upward thought.org or blog posts, same, same deal. Uh So that, that will be where you wanna go if you, I mean the youtube channel is just basically gonna
be for, for people who find me in some other way. Um Who like watching stupid woke commercials every three seconds. Um There won't be any commercials on upward dot dot org. Uh There won't be any kind of subscription fee or anything like that. Um Anyway, the other thing I wanted to talk about was Twitter
now known as X. So I've been off of social media for years now. I, I got rid of Facebook. I don't really know what year it was maybe 2015. I don't know. Um I, I could say a lot of bad things about Facebook. It's not a very productive place to find people who are interested in learning new ideas. So I
was curious about Twitter and my uh hypotheses were confirmed that turns out to be a place people go today if they're actually interested in hearing something other than what they already think. Of course, not universally. But it turns out that, that because of the way the, the app works, it's actually
quite easy to connect with people, um connect with different ideas. That's, that's the best way to say it uh without going into too many details. I was, I was pleasantly surprised at how much, how much information you can find there outside of people you already know. It's, it's a really easy way to
meet other people and see what they think and it's mostly focused on what, what they think. So, so Facebook's a lot about the network, but Twitter is a lot about the just what's said. And so I really appreciate that and just in being on it for a week or so, now I've already met tons of people who I didn't
know who have ideas worth listening to and interacting with. And so I highly encourage you if you're not to, to, if that floats your boat, if you're interested in people's ideas and, and maybe even sharing your own ideas to check out Twitter. Um It's pretty easy to get on there and uh, like I said, it's
not so much about, like your friend connections. Facebook was this sort of distortion of your real world network and, and Twitter is, I mean, obviously you can connect with people, you know, but it, it just seems really easy to make it more about the people you don't know yet. Um, or who don't know you
and the way they, they boost posts has a lot to do with how many people are following you. And so, uh whereas like Facebook, what you see is based on who you're connected to and that's, that's all you see is the post from people that you're connected to Twitter. You'll just, you, there's a tab that you
can just see what people you're connected to are posting, but there's also this for you page that they do a really good job of overlapping what you actually care about without it becoming an echo chamber. It's uh in my opinion, it's really nice how they did that. And so, um like I said, it's really easy
to just connect to other people. So I encourage you to get on there. And my, my tag on there, my handle is upward underscore thought one word was taken by some random guy, which is surprising and disappointing, but mine's upward underscore thought. So hopefully, I'll see a lot more of you on there. I
think uh I did a blog post about this and I think, sorry, hold on my arms going to sleep, to sleep. Oh, it hurts. Um I did a blog post about this and I guess just a few people saw that who are on Twitter. So I appreciate the connections there and um jump on there and like I said, so I, I've been posting
every day. I have a very long list of inspirational quotes from other people or interesting quotes. And uh I think I've got enough firepower to keep posting once a day with those for about a year. So that's my uh initial goal there. But I have been saying some interesting things every once in a while
on there as well as the thoughts occur. So that's something that's not going to get rebroadcast on the, on the upper thought.org um sight. But uh yeah, so you can hop on there if you'd like to see that stuff. And also I think it's a really great convenient way for you to share your own thoughts or even
quotes from other people. You can put links to videos up there. It's, it's uh it's pretty useful. So get on there, find some stuff you like and, and hit the like button and you can retweet things. It's great. So just checking my list here, I think that's that. So hopefully we'll see you on there.
