0:00:00 - 0:00:23To do a commentary on a piece that was produced by the channel one in Jesus. And if you haven't experience that channel, I highly suggest you check it out, you might find it worth subscribing and um you might find content on there that is easier to share than a lot of the things that I produce. Uh I
0:00:23 - 0:00:46know the author and uh not as well as I'd like because he lives in France. But um we have chatted and he, he knows what's up. So I highly recommend checking that out if you haven't. And I, I would strongly encourage that you watch this video that he made called Who is the Holy Spirit or what is the Holy
0:00:46 - 0:01:04Spirit before watching this commentary? Because this isn't a stand alone. And if you go watch that, it will um alleviate the need for me to read the whole thing. Although that's what I'd like to do. Uh I just don't have the time for that. This is gonna take long enough to get through as is, uh he spent
0:01:04 - 0:01:27a lot of time putting this together. It's very clear to me and um I think that it's very easy to miss that. So as I listened to this several times and then read through it very slowly, I spent five hours reading through it and looking up everything God told me to and processing the thoughts that came
0:01:26 - 0:01:52and getting answers to questions. I asked God as I went. And the reason I'm doing this is, is because I'm, I was told to, the reason I'm sharing this, I was told to. But um furthermore, it turns out that this is a wonderful representation, I guess framework where I can use it as an opportunity to share
0:01:52 - 0:02:10some ideas of things that I'm writing about more fully that in books that haven't been published yet. There, I have a lot of content on the Holy Ghost and revelation that I'm excited to finish and share. But um now is not the time, there's a lot of things that have to come before that. And so this is
0:02:10 - 0:02:35my attempt to stand on the shoulders of Pierre, which would really hurt because I'm a heavy guy. Um But he's kind enough to, to let me do that and maybe throw some things um towards you that that would otherwise require some time before you saw it. So um let's just start here and I'm using this program
0:02:34 - 0:02:50called Pages for, for Mac. And this is what I'm actually writing all the books in now. I really like this word processor. But I always get the question when I do something with this like this. These are just the comments that come with, the comment functionality comes with the program. It's, it's quite
0:02:50 - 0:03:10nice. Uh They did a good job on this. So these are mostly to remind me and I'm going to fluidly read them and just speak my mind as we go. Um And that's that. So if you can't read it, don't worry about it if you want to read it. go ahead. I don't care. All right. So the first thing is he's speaking about
0:03:09 - 0:03:35just how, how long he has prayed about these things and, and sought guidance from the Lord about it. And I just wanted to ask you, do you, do you understand what great effort is possible in seeking truth from God? It's, it's the opportunities were given in this vein are enormous. Um This video, I think
0:03:34 - 0:03:57I can perceive that many people would watch this video and take it lightly. Now, I think that I, I just said that God has taught me enough about this topic that I've literally written an entire book about it. And yet I watched this video fully expecting to learn something and I did. And more importantly
0:03:56 - 0:04:19, the Lord spoke to me more about these things as I was watching the video several times and spending hours painstakingly going over this transcript, asking God questions, getting answers, looking up my previous notes on things, asking more questions you get what you put in that's what you get out. God
0:04:18 - 0:04:42will. God will. He's like a 401k match. He's, he's going to respond to your heed and your diligence and those who learn great things from God, they're the ones who paid a great price. And so if you pay that price, you'll also learn great things and then you can just share the them with others. And we'll
0:04:42 - 0:05:04see in a second, there are rules about that, but you can share things with others and, and help them to obtain more than they've otherwise would. But it's the biggest tragedy of all. I mean, it's one thing to not put the price, pay the price to get tremendous things out. It's, it's a whole different
0:05:03 - 0:05:30level of sadness and sorrow to see people not exerting the effort needed to just receive what's so plainly put in front of us. I, I don't, have you ever prayed and fast for a week to learn something? Have you ever prayed and fasted for years to learn something I have. And what I'm finding is that when
0:05:30 - 0:05:52you set your heart to seek God, it, it's like working really hard in the traditional idea of first world retirement where you invest and you save and you invest and you save and, and you, you voluntarily sacrifice the short term benefits over a very long time. And then all of a sudden you're living off
0:05:52 - 0:06:16the interest of your investment one day and I find every day that every day, the Lord is answering prayers that I've been praying about for years. And um it's just a cascade. And so when you find someone like Pierre who's been cranking on this for a long time, who's, who's, who paused his life to put
0:06:16 - 0:06:40together this brief video that, that took an immense amount of work to condense the, the, the richness of the ideas here, the compression rate of the ideas is enormous and uh he's expressed them so clearly and or the Lords used him to express these things clearly. It's a, it's a beautiful treasure. So
0:06:40 - 0:06:58here's, here's a, a verse from Alma 546. So, you know, I'm not making this up. He says, I said to you that these things are made known unto me by the Holy Spirit of God. Behold, I fasted and prayed many days that I might know these things of myself. And now I do know of myself that they are true for
0:06:58 - 0:07:18the Lord God hath made the manifest unto me by his Holy Spirit. And this is a spirit of revelation which is in me. And ironically, you know, that's what this topic is about the Holy Spirit in the world. There are people who dedicate their entire lives to discovery or study or practice of a field. You
0:07:17 - 0:07:38say a doctor is, has a practice, they never get done practicing, which is why they're so terrible. Just kidding. If you're a doctor, I know we have a couple. Um But it's something that takes a lifetime and even the, even the words used to describe the field convey that idea, right? And uh uh some people
0:07:37 - 0:07:56, they get phd S some people are master plumbers, whatever the case may be, it, it takes a lot of work to get there and we're OK with that. But every day we go out and do that or we know people who do and then when it comes to spiritual things, you know, we're, we're happy to buy people's books uh or
0:07:56 - 0:08:25watch their talks that they give their conferences. And of course, that's true for the temporal side of things as well. So it's not a foreign thing to believe that someone can labor and produce something worth hearing that exceeds what we already knew. It's, it's like there are um I, I'm at a loss that
0:08:25 - 0:08:43there, there are good ideas here to convey this, but I'm at a loss at the moment. But we, it's like, it's like we, we, it's not that we outsource our search for truth, but we happily work together realizing there's so much of it out there that no one person can find it all out. And so we all just try
0:08:43 - 0:09:03to do the best we can with the things that align with our real intent. And then we have the blessing of sharing that with others. And um for some reason when it comes to spiritual things we're really resistant about this idea and, and the only, the only books we're interested in reading, it seems for
0:09:03 - 0:09:23the most part with the spiritual folks are these ridiculously simple. It should be like five lines of text and someone stretch it out to a whole book and, uh, a as long as it doesn't tell us to make any changes, we'll buy it. Right. If it promises us something for nothing and tells us how good we already
0:09:23 - 0:09:44are. We're all over it, but not the things that tell us to change. And that's sad. We are really ought to change that. Ok? And then he says, I've just received permission from the Lord to reveal these things that I've known for some time. And without going over my note here yet, I just wanna say there
0:09:44 - 0:10:02are people, you know, have you heard of terrorist cells and how that works? They get planted and they just, they just sit there, they're Manchurians, they just sit there until they're activated and they live normal lives. God has seeds planted all over the world right now. And some of these people know
0:10:01 - 0:10:24who they are. Most of them don't, but he is constantly teaching everyone who will listen. That does not mean that they are authorized to go share those things in every way. So everything known by individuals is not made public. There are a lot of proverbs about this in the Bible that wise people do not
0:10:23 - 0:10:45say everything that they know. It's not that they don't want to, they want to more than anything in the world. It's just that God has wise, um governing principles. He has, he has, he has wise principles that govern how these things are shared because He knows how human nature is and human nature is
0:10:45 - 0:11:04contrary to truth and value. There are those among us who know a great deal more than others. That's one thing we have to wrap our head around. We we are, we're in this together, but we are not the same. There are vast differences between people and as you come closer to the Lord, you begin to see these
0:11:03 - 0:11:24and you can't not see them and then they just keep getting revealed uh more and more as you draw nearer. And so as you're taught more by the Lord, you're also taught more about the rules he has for how these things are shared. And uh the news flash is that more often than not, there's a price to be paid
0:11:24 - 0:11:43to share them that you have to pay personally. And uh there are also conditions that are outside of your control. So Alma 12 9 is good supporting scripture for this idea, it says, and now Alma began to expound these things unto him, saying it is given unto many to know the mysteries of God. Nevertheless
0:11:42 - 0:12:01, they are laid under strict command that they shall not impart only according to the portion of his word which he doth grant unto the Children of men according to the heed and diligence which they give unto him. So, how's your heat and diligence? I'm gonna say some pointed things here, but they're true
0:12:01 - 0:12:21. They need to be said. And Pierre is a, is a, is a, is a kind person. He's not gonna tell you, but I'm not kind and I'll tell you your lack of faith adds to the burden of these people. Not only do, they walk with the deep scars of the price they've paid to learn these things. But you add to this burden
0:12:21 - 0:12:44, this burden that they pay for that, that that's required to hold back the fire within them. It's God's fire and it would consume you if they released it, they pay the price to obtain the truth and they pay the price to hold it back. They pay the price to get the truth because they love God and they
0:12:44 - 0:13:12love you. The more of God's love that he shows them, the more, the more intensity they feel in their desire and need to love you. But they can't, they have to hold that back because they know that you can't take it. You could take it if you did what you should be doing. It's a, it's a process, but you're
0:13:11 - 0:13:36behind in that process because you don't do what you already know. So you add to their pain, the eternal sorrow of knowing the value of what, what they've been given. But what you reject, they see you treat so lightly what they have paid such a great price to obtain. And it's not a personal pain that
0:13:36 - 0:14:02they feel, they feel the pain of you driving nails into the hands of their Lord because that's what you're doing when you turn aside such great things that he paid such a great price to make available to all of us to pay the price. That's what you're doing. There will come a day when there is nothing
0:14:02 - 0:14:24remaining that they can do to hold these things back when that happens, these burdens will roll off onto your shoulders and your shoulders are not strong enough to bear them yet. And so I, I caution you with every solemn bone in my body. I caution you to not take these things lightly when someone like
0:14:23 - 0:14:51Pierre makes this video and he's so freely shares such deep truth and he takes so much effort to put it in, in, in the, the clearest way, maybe that it could ever be expressed. Don't take it lightly. Don't just act like this is some other person's opinion about something. And you know, it's like watching
0:14:51 - 0:15:21your t your favorite Tivo TV show or whatever, watching, streaming, whatever. OK? He says this podcast is written in red because I wish to verify exactly with the Lord that what it contains is pure and true. So you see the Lord, he did many things during his ministry to intentionally modify the perception
0:15:20 - 0:15:43of what he was saying and doing, it was always directed to the same end, which is the greatest possible benefit to all. But the exact form of it changed. Sometimes he spoke imparables. A lot of times he intentionally broke the traditions of the fake pious people, the pretentious leaders of, of, of their
0:15:43 - 0:16:18religion. In that time, he did all sorts of things to, to convey these things in the way that that he could best um due to the greatest benefit of all, sometimes what the Lord uses people for is to fine polish, fine polish and perfectly present an idea as perfectly as possible. Given the scenario, sometimes
0:16:17 - 0:16:43he releases a flood that cannot be contained. Sometimes he's overtly rough and sometimes he's exceedingly gentle. It's all according to his wisdom. And one of the things that we need to learn is to be able to discern great value, no matter what shape it comes in, no matter what it's surrounded by, no
0:16:43 - 0:17:13matter what topic it's on or where we stand on that topic to deeply feel the value of things. And there's a process for that, but it takes an immense amount of time and effort to process ideas into what I called um earlier, this compressed form, this highly refined form. And so ironically, the more polished
0:17:13 - 0:17:35something is sometimes the less serious people take it. Now, it's also the case that the less refined something is, the more people will, will use it as an excuse to take it lightly. And so, in fact, there is no perfect approach and people will use whatever you produce as an excuse not to listen to it
0:17:35 - 0:17:58. It's, it's astonishing to see. But I will say this and this is an idea that you may have heard me share before. If the world were less spiritually retarded and more honest, the servants of God could much more easily communicate heavenly truths. We'd be able to speak stream of conscience all the time
0:17:58 - 0:18:23. And it would be enough. You know, one reason it's so hard to share things is because you can't just repeat what you have been given in the way you were given it because no one else will listen to that. That's the reason you heard it and no one else did. And so you have to formulate things and translate
0:18:22 - 0:18:44things and repackage things. These are the tasks that I have asked you to undertake in other videos as you share the gospel, whatever you understand the gospel to be, as you invite others towards improvement that you use everything that you have access to, to make the content or share the content uh
0:18:44 - 0:19:08in, in to make the content in a way that's, that's unique to your best attributes or to share the content in a way that's unique to the access you have. So unfortunately, because people have so many barriers to what they're listening to li uh willing to listen to it. Just consider, not obey, just consider
0:19:07 - 0:19:32. There's so many barriers that we have to invest an immense amount of time, just processing things, not really adding information so much as is moving it around. Now, that's a gross understatement of the work involved, but it's not the same as standing in the stream of light and just receiving raw light
0:19:31 - 0:19:53in this flood where there's no time to possibly write it or even communicate to others in any form of speech, the content that you're receiving in five minutes, you can receive more revelation than you could share with another person in a lifetime. God, the the channel spirit is not limited by the bandwidth
0:19:53 - 0:20:20of language. It shouldn't be this way, it shouldn't be that, that we have to take so much time out of that stream two, you know, parse things down like like um a mother bird chews the food and vomits it back into the mouths of the babies. We only have to do this because those, those constraints are imposed
0:20:19 - 0:20:46by essentially laziness, not taking things seriously, not making the sacrifice. The very minimal sacrifices comparatively speaking to actually perceive and receive these things. Now, the biggest crime amongst all of those elements of rebellion from God are, is just disobedience. And that's something
0:20:46 - 0:21:06that that maybe is the biggest shocker of all. You know, it's unpleasant to find people who are extremely lazy in their approach to God, who put everything in the kitchen sink before their, their service to the Lord and who, who care about everything else in the world more than they care about him. But
0:21:05 - 0:21:25all of that is, is sort of to be expected. The shocker is to find people who do invest time, but they're ever learning and never coming to a knowledge of the truth because they don't actually change. They think somehow that by occupying their time in gospel topics, they can become a better person. And
0:21:25 - 0:21:53of course, it never happens and, and it's no different than the people who pray incessantly for God to, to help them stop sinning. He's already given you the help. He nailed it to the cross. What are you doing? There's no such thing as almost living the gospel. It's an all or nothing affair as, as a
0:21:53 - 0:22:17very weird math teacher. I once had always said he looked like a Walrus. Um Anyway, you can imagine that. But he once said, uh actually he said all the time close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades and it's true. Not in the gospel. Close doesn't count. Ok. Now, finally, uh in this little paragraph
0:22:16 - 0:22:33, he says at the end, if you like the content of this video, please subscribe and share it. I don't think I've ever said that on this channel. Maybe I have, but I don't remember ever saying it he says it a lot. And the reason he says it is because going back to this is because people are spiritually
0:22:33 - 0:22:54retarded. No one should ever have to tell you to subscribe to a channel and share it or comment, you understand enough about how these things work. How can you think that you value something if you're not sharing it with other people? Now, why do you so freely do that then? Well, it's no different than
0:22:54 - 0:23:13anything else in your life. You're fully content to have someone sacrifice their entire life to give you some snippet of goodies that you don't already have and you'll line up for that, but you couldn't care less about anyone else. You don't care about passing along to them, what you've so freely received
0:23:12 - 0:23:39. You won't lift your little finger to help anyone else in the ways that matter. So we live in a, an interesting time where the value of what God is freely revealing exceeds the value of what he has ever freely revealed. And yet the willingness of the people who say they believe in Him, even the ones
0:23:39 - 0:24:04that perceive some value in these things, which is rare in it, of itself. But their willingness to do the least bit of anything to share it with other people is non-existent. It's, it's simply non existent. So he says that this is aimed primarily at Christians, but also at anyone seeking the truth. And
0:24:04 - 0:24:22I think that's a good thing to be able to say about any effort in sharing the gospel. If what you're sharing is only applicable to people who are super duper religious, you are doing something wrong and there are longer arguments that could be made for this for why this is. But maybe to put it concisely
0:24:21 - 0:24:46, if you're constraining your message to the preconceived religious notions of dead Christianity, you for sure are leaving out the best parts and without those tools, I don't know how you could build the house. Now, when you include those tools, uh by definition, you're also going to make your message
0:24:45 - 0:25:14understandable. And um well, you'll, you'll, you'll increase the comprehensibility of your message to all people, not just those who say they're Christians. So the the active ingredient that makes it believable to Christians will also make it believable to everyone else. OK. So he makes this interesting
0:25:13 - 0:25:34point that um these things can't be solved by scripture alone. Otherwise we wouldn't be in this confusing situation in Christianity. And he says, I based myself on what God has revealed to me on this subject by his mouth and not my own interpretation. Um I will say that's an interesting way of putting
0:25:34 - 0:26:04it because you can't hear the Lord without interpreting it. Everything we understand requires our attention and perception, which is always imperfect. So there's that. But um you could say and should say this about any Gospel truth that, that it can't be solved by scripture alone. Otherwise we wouldn't
0:26:04 - 0:26:31be in this confusing situation. So um there's a big difference between reading the scriptures to try to understand God and using the scriptures to demonstrate to others your own experience with God. And that's why I like what he said here on, on that note, that's the difference between, you know, that
0:26:31 - 0:26:53little bit in the New Testament where it says Jesus taught with authority, not as the scribes. This is the difference between how Jesus taught and how the scribes taught, scribes were sharing their interpretation of scripture. Jesus was using scripture to help others understand his personal experience
0:26:52 - 0:27:21with God, which incidentally was the intent of every person that ever wrote scripture in the first place. But you can't understand what they wrote except as you experience what they did DC. So when someone lives, the experience described in a scriptural passage and then they share their ideas on that
0:27:21 - 0:27:44topic, they're not sharing their opinions about a text. And it's quite foolish for, for people who stand up to that and say, well, I think it means this, I think it means that who cares what you think? What have you lived, what have you lived? And if your answer is well, not this, but this is my best
0:27:43 - 0:28:09guess. That's fine. As long as you're having a conversation with someone who's, who, who can only say that about that passage. So I've been asked at least twice and I don't think I've answered the question. I think I've sidestepped it. Someone has asked me why did you use this particular translation
0:28:08 - 0:28:35of the Bible? When you quoted this particular verse? The answer is because it most closely matches my experience with God. So, um people get in trouble for proof texting, which is an apologetic technique where you already, you've, you have fixed in your mind, what you believe, something to be and you're
0:28:34 - 0:28:59looking for evidence that supports that while ignoring all the things that don't, and that's no good, that's no good. But when you're trying to convey to someone the things that, you know, personally from experience as far as you've had those experiences. Um and they're operating from a constant context
0:28:58 - 0:29:25where they consider scripture to be authoritative. And even if they don't, you can at least refer to things to show that you're not just making this up, then it's a perfectly acceptable thing to find, find the um the translations of the scripture versus that you believe, refer to a specific thing that
0:29:25 - 0:29:44is like what you have experienced and find the ones that have the highest fidelity. Now, uh if you're looking in the Greek and the Hebrew, then you get another dimension of this one because you could translate it directly from those languages. But two, um you will find that there is a massive amount
0:29:44 - 0:30:04of variation in the English translations and that those people were not using the technique that I just described of comparing it to their own experience. They were um and are because they are modern, modern translators, they're doing their best with the information they have, but they're still on the
0:30:04 - 0:30:31task of a scribe. Now, scribes can get you very far but they can't get you all the way. OK. So um then he says, I'm sorry, this is all preamble. We are getting to the nitty gritty. He says an important point just because we feel the spirit or it speaks to us doesn't mean we understand its nature. And
0:30:30 - 0:30:53what I said about that is that no interaction with God implies a finality of all. There is to see no feel or do in relation to that experience. The spirit will continuously reveal more and more on anything you attend to in your mind with sincere intent like infinitely zooming into a fractal. This is
0:30:53 - 0:31:15why information from God is described as flowing water. The content comes as a result of what you choose to sincerely attend to. And the flow rate is determined by the intensity of your heat and diligence. It is a fire hose with infinite capacity. Uh I left out a word here, but it should say your choices
0:31:15 - 0:31:36are to point it, turn it on and turn it up. That's the, those are the, that's the scope of the choices before you. You have the choice of where to point it. You have the choice of whether to turn it on it or off and you have the choice of how high you wanna turn it up. Those are wonderful blessings but
0:31:36 - 0:31:56almost no one exercises them because anyone who's still struggling with doing the best they know of all the time. It's still not even turned on. The, the revelation that you have access to or the interactions with God that you have access to are no different than those had by anyone else. You're still
0:31:56 - 0:32:18at the base base base of the pyramid. This is referred to in the scriptures says the portion appointed to every man, you can look that up. OK? Now let's actually get into the doctrine. No, he men, he mentions uh again, I'm sorry for the pronunciation. Now we're in Hebrew. Now I'm gonna butcher Hebrew
0:32:17 - 0:32:45. Uh Roach Adena, Roach Elohim and Roach Kosh. Um this ignited a flurry of thoughts that I really wish I could share with you. But here's all you are gonna get for. Now. So much must be said about these phrases and others that are related and they can't be said. Now, however, I commend all the hunger
0:32:45 - 0:33:10and thirst after the great things God will later reveal on these topics. Here is a snippet to whet your appetite. So he mentioned Raj Kosh. Here's what I would like to briefly mention about that the wind that reveals what is different and better it differentiates or cuts it brings through blowing or
0:33:10 - 0:33:39breathing what is better in place of what it cuts or blows away. And one important nugget here is that to bless that, that word, it literally means to speak, reason, that confers benefit. And oh, the depth of mystery that this all reveals the the value of what this connects to is so immense and it is
0:33:39 - 0:34:03taken completely for granted. What great things God has put right in front of our faces and we trample them down instead of living up to them or wielding them because they're weapons. Ok. Now, all this important, I'm not skipping over things that I don't feel are important. That's not what's going on
0:34:03 - 0:34:20. You should go listen to it. I just don't have anything to add to the parts that I'm not going to speak about. Or in at least one case, I have a whole lot to add. And I'm not going to say it. The similarities between Roach and Numa are obvious. He says, and those are the words for spirit in Hebrew and
0:34:20 - 0:34:39Greek. And I say one key and spiritual study of ancient languages is to realize that neither Hebrew nor Greek is the heavenly language. Now, I I'll say that's an important point to realize there are a lot of people out there who have not had any contact with heaven and have no idea about the life of
0:34:39 - 0:00:00Adam who will tell you that Hebrew is the Adamic language. It is not, it is not looking up the definitions of these words will provide great benefit of understanding in many cases. But in some cases, it introduces challenges to understanding because like all languages, those languages are imperfect.
0:00:00 - 0:00:00And so there are word use issues where the author or at least the the surviving manuscript has a version of a word that is not the best word to use in that case. And there's word availability where they use the best word available. But there is no good word for this idea in that language. And again,
0:00:00 - 0:35:41the closer you draw to God, the more often you're going to experience this where you're reading the scriptures and the Lord's gonna speak to you and he's gonna say that's not what that says. And you say, what do you mean? And he says, well, look up this word and compare it to these things that, that
0:35:41 - 0:36:02, you know, you've experienced with me or that have happened in your life. It's like this, you say, oh and maybe there's an English word that fits it a lot better or maybe there's a Hebrew word that could have been used that would have been better, but it's not what's in the text. So that, that happens
0:36:01 - 0:36:24. Um And this is the two way sword that is language, language can call you up higher than you are. But it can't do anything without also imposing a limit to how high you can go. Any idea is like this. And that's a deep thought. That's really important to make second nature. You need to understand because
0:36:24 - 0:36:47this is the transcendent principle, a transcendent principle that filters down into so many specific aspects like the idea of placeholders that, that you can have an ideal that becomes an idol when you see its limits and continue to treat it as the ideal. There's always something better, there's always
0:36:46 - 0:37:12something more. So my quip here is word study is a tool to generate more interactions with the Lord, not a replacement for them. So don't get on this bandwagon of if I become a Hebrew scholar, I'll better understand the scriptures. You might. But if you're gonna spend all that time, why not approach
0:37:12 - 0:37:31him directly and just live what you already understand and then ask him to give you more and maybe he'll use the avenue of languages to reveal those things, but go to him and yield to him. Don't try to take a side route because you really don't want to give up that one thing that you know, he doesn't
0:37:31 - 0:37:53want you to do anymore or you really don't wanna start that one thing that you're scared to death of that he's asked you to do. Ok. So he says on the other hand, in the New Testament much more than in the Old Testament. We see that the spirit possesses the characteristics of a person. Well, that's interesting
0:37:53 - 0:38:13. It can teach, it can be blasphemed or lied against it can give orders and so on. In the Old Testament, it's more a force or energy coming from God. And I just wanna say Pierry doesn't speak English as a first language and he's mopping the floor with a bunch of you in terms of his ability to express
0:38:12 - 0:38:36ideas here in English. And um, that just goes to show you what you could do as a native English speaker. If you applied yourself to it, we all have room to improve in this regard. And uh I am certainly not excluded from that set of people that has very far to go. Anyway. Uh Here's my summary of s so
0:38:36 - 0:39:01far of some ideas that he has raised and that these are in my words and I don't know he might disagree with this summary. So, but this is my take on what he has said. Um So this idea of spirit is a flow of information constrained by resolution topic or language. It's really important. So to think about
0:39:01 - 0:39:29this more, it's a flow, primarily, it's a flow, it's not something that is static, but it, the amount that flows is constrained by resolution topic or language. So you can look at a certain thing or think about a certain thing and the revelation you will receive will be the set of things that overlaps
0:39:29 - 0:39:52with that what you're attending to, but it's also constrained by your language. So if you only speak English and you haven't learned the language of the spirit, which isn't really a language at all. It's, it's its idea unbound from language or, you know Spanish or something, then he can convey ideas
0:39:52 - 0:40:13through that. Or you've spent your life being an auto mechanic, he will teach you things using analogies from, from auto mechanic world. And that's constrained by resolution because he can't explain things to you beyond your, your too far beyond your present understanding. It's like the resolution on
0:40:12 - 0:40:41a camera. You're not gonna get the details that exceed the equipment. Now, your equipment changes as you obey him. And in response to your effort, it'll change over time, it'll grow hopefully over time. But spirit can also be used to describe a person, animal or any other entity with access to that flow
0:40:40 - 0:41:06. Now, that's a little weird, right? But that we don't think about it this way. But this is the case. You know, Jesus said I am the spirit of truth. Well, how can that be when he also said the comforter is the spirit of truth and that he was gonna send the comforter to us. So, um these are important
0:41:06 - 0:41:26ideas. There are tremendous treasures when you dig them out. When you search these ideas push on them, find their limits and also find where they're discussed in scripture and you could spend a lifetime unfolding these things. One characteristic across them all is that there'll be ideas that you thought
0:41:26 - 0:41:47you knew or, I mean, scriptures that you thought you knew, but it turns out you were just familiar with them. You never really understood them because they speak of these things. But these ideas might be new to you and it's really plain what they say it turns out. So and then my question in Genesis one
0:41:46 - 0:42:11where it says the spirit of God moved over the waters. Here's my question, was this information or was this a person with information or was it both? And then uh he quoted John 424 which is the one that says God is spirit. What does that mean? What, what does it mean that God is spirit? Some people have
0:42:10 - 0:42:39used that as evidence that He does not have a bodily form and he does. So what does it mean? And then what does it mean in spirit? And in truth, what does that phrase mean? Very important? Ok. So he gives this wonderful analogy of the sun and it's actually an example, not an analogy. Um It's an example
0:42:39 - 0:43:15of spirit. So here's my, here's my quip on that. There is a sun, it gives light and heat, other things also give light and heat, but they're not the sun. It turns out that no two things give the same exact light and heat. It's all different and yet all objects that radiate are one in that they give off
0:43:14 - 0:43:46light and heat. So even though the the precise qualities of that light and heat differ and the quantities differ and the effects of what they radiate very. And that even though the effects vary depending on what they radiate onto. Even though all those differences exist, there are still one in the idea
0:43:45 - 0:44:11that they are radiating bodies, they're all radiating light and heat. The spirit is a universal influence. The Lord. He said, he's the light of the world while he is here, that's a very important caveat. He said, while I am here, I am the light of the world. And then he said, you are the light of the
0:44:11 - 0:44:40world. So I can't dwell on that point. But that's an important distinction without caveat. He said that he is the light of the sun and the moon and the stars, but the Lord is not the sun, the moon and the stars and he's not the earth. There are infinitely many facets in which spirit can be described
0:44:39 - 0:45:11or through which spirit could be described and perceived and experienced every single object in the universe experiences spirit to a different degree. And this causes vastly varying effects on everything else, depending on the properties of the giver and the receiver, including their distance. Humans
0:45:11 - 0:45:38have the ability to change which facets of spirit they can perceive. And by how much the way it's done is by recognizing and living according to the portion you already have access to. If you want to learn more about these very important ideas. You can look at D and C 91 1 through 20 DNC 51 through 35
0:45:37 - 0:46:09. So he says that our spirit is eternal. It's our identity. This is one example of a tremendously huge idea packed into just a few words, your spirit is everything that makes you different than anyone else. If you took out a piece of paper and you wrote down everything about you, that's different than
0:46:08 - 0:46:39anyone else, that's your spirit. So, I mean, non-physical. Um So it would be correct to, to also call this your character. And maybe you've never heard that connection made before. That wouldn't surprise me. But the importance of making it is extremely great. He continues, it's made up of our beliefs
0:46:38 - 0:47:03and desires. So, you know, what's interesting about your beliefs and desires is that they can both change through your choices. No, he also says it has a, your spirit has a form and a sex and I'm not gonna touch the, the sex part of it, but the form of your spirit can also change and it turns out that
0:47:03 - 0:47:25that's important too, but that's way beyond the scope of what I'd like to talk about right now. But for now, I want you to, to think about the importance of the fact that your beliefs and your desires can change and how important they are on an eternal scale. It is literally your identity, how you choose
0:47:24 - 0:47:49, defines who you are and God has given you the power to change that. And I have and will speak a lot about how those changes happen, how you affect them. He says his spirit illuminates everything reaches all things, even the farthest reaches of the galaxy. And I find his use of the galaxy to be very
0:47:48 - 0:48:07interesting and I will leave it at that spirit. Oh, I already read that. I don't know why I pasted this comment again. Oh, it's just the beginning that I pasted again. So I'll just reread the repeat part and keep going. Spirit is universal influence. The Lord said he's the light of the world, the sun
0:48:07 - 0:48:35, the moon and the stars, but he's not the sun or the moon or the stars or the world. Here's the important part, all objects beneath the Lord experience spirit as a subset of what he does. So in that frame, it's correct to say that it's all his spirit or for him to say that he is the spirit of truth
0:48:34 - 0:49:04, but spirit is not contained in Him. It is beyond him and through Him to us. In DNC 9330 we read all truth is independent in that sphere in which God has placed it to act for itself as all intelligence also, otherwise there is no existence. Now, some would contend that it's blasphemous or it makes God
0:49:04 - 0:49:27less in some way to indicate that there is something beyond Him. However, if you do not understand that you cannot worship him in spirit and in truth because everything happens according to the same pattern. And you cannot follow his example in your life. If you don't understand his example in his life
0:49:27 - 0:49:49, there's a limit to how far you can go without that. And you have to understand how Jesus for example, came to a fullness because it's the same way you will come to a fullness. It's the same pattern and you can't apply it in your life here. And now without understanding what he did in his life 2000
0:49:49 - 0:50:12years ago, it's the same idea. So he says, just like the sun and the light it admits, or the heat it gives off. We can't distinguish between God whose spirit and the Holy Spirit he gives off. And then he says they're one and the same thing which I would agree with. But subject to the point I just made
0:50:11 - 0:50:33. But I find this point tremendously interesting. And I'm so glad he brought it up because I'm not sure anyone. I haven't heard anyone say this, maybe it's well known, but I really doubt it. We can't distinguish between God and the Holy Spirit. So II, I can think of a million things I've heard from people
0:50:33 - 0:51:01that indicate that they can tell the difference. But you can't tell the difference. I call this eclipsing. I've never heard anyone else use that term, but maybe they have one way of defining this is an inability to resolve. In other words, you can't tell the difference. So um if you look up at the sun
0:51:01 - 0:51:28, you'll see that it's brighter than your eyes can discern. Your, your, your eyes ability to perceive light is saturated. And it turns out and, and you know, optical scientists have measured this, that there are vastly differing intensities of light below the intensity of the sun that if you were given
0:51:27 - 0:51:50, showing that light versus the sun, you would not be able to tell which one is brighter even though one is vastly less bright than the other. Because there's a limit. If you've ever used a light room or edited photos, you know about this, there's a limit to saturation, right? Or contrast, there are
0:51:50 - 0:52:14limits to these things and it's not that it's absolutely limited. It, it's just that our relative perception is absolutely limited. The equipment is limited, not the object, the perception of the thing is limited, but the thing could be much more than that. It's like we all have a limit to how much money
0:52:14 - 0:52:34we can conceive having. You know, if I said, what's the difference between you having $10 and $100? Maybe the answer is a lot, especially if you're poor. But if I said, what's the difference between you having $100 million and $300 million you'd say, well, I don't know, I literally don't know what else
0:52:34 - 0:52:56I do with the money at some point, maybe your, your amounts are higher. It doesn't matter, at some point, it just doesn't matter anymore. You can't tell the difference. So here's my question for you. What are the implications of this idea of eclipsing? Especially when it comes down to people? And by
0:52:56 - 0:53:22the way, there are many implications of this, that, that are across the board. But this is just one. Could you have someone who like the sun? The star has light? That's like the Lord, but who is not the Lord? But who is indistinguishable from the Lord by those who have less light than they do? Is that
0:53:22 - 0:53:50an absurd idea? Paul said in first Corinthians 1541 there is one glory of the sun and another glory of the moon and another glory of the stars for one star differs from another star in glory. So at least according to Paul, it's possible to have glory like the sun revelation 10 1, John wrote, I saw another
0:53:50 - 0:54:16mighty angel come down from heaven clothed with a cloud and a rainbow was upon his head and his face was as it were the sun and his feet as pillars of fire. So is it possible for a person or a mighty angel at least to have this kind of glory where you would not be able to tell the difference? In revelation
0:54:15 - 0:54:36? 1917, we read, I saw an angel standing in the sun and he cried with a loud voice saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, come and gather yourself unto the supper of the great God. So you remember in the New Testament where Jesus is telling the parable of the supper of the king and
0:54:36 - 0:55:02he calls all of his nobles to the dinner and they all have something better to do. And he tells the servant go and gather all of the indigent, the needy, the the wounded, the maimed and call them to my supper because I won't have an empty table. So whoever this person is, they stand in the sun. It's
0:55:02 - 0:55:25a very interesting idea. So why is that important? There are many answers to this question but one of them is you do not stand in the presence of God. If you're on this earth, you're on this earth. What's the difference between here and heaven? The access we have, we are all mixed up down here. We're
0:55:25 - 0:55:48all mixed up and you know, your next door neighbor could be Moses for all, you know, not literally but of his caliber. How would you know, even if you had the evidence because he starts, you know, parting his swimming pool in the backyard or something? You still live next door to him. You could go talk
0:55:47 - 0:56:18to him any time you want to. You can't do that in heaven. You can't do that in heaven. Access is granted only to those without sin. And even then the degree of interactions is, is limited by what you chose to do here on earth. But while you're here, you know, while Jesus himself, while he walked the
0:56:18 - 0:56:43earth, anyone could get up close to him. If they wanted to, they'd have to push past the apostles who were always running interference. But he was there, the crowds were there and that matters a lot. OK? We'll talk a lot more about that later. OK? So then he says the spirit is therefore both the channel
0:56:43 - 0:57:07or means of transmission and the very person of God. And I would phrase this differently and it's for reasons, I've already mentioned God has a spirit and it, it, it, it is what makes him unique. It is, it is the essence of His uniqueness from everyone else, but very few have direct access to him directly
0:57:06 - 0:57:34. Now his voice is the voice of improvement within you. And in that sense, you do have direct access to him, but that is a limited channel. It's not actually uninhibited access, it's extraordinarily limited. And that's why you can be doing the best, you know, and some prophet comes out of left field
0:57:34 - 0:57:57and slaps you upside the head with further light and truth. And you could say well, but I thought I had direct access to God. You did under constraints, but some person came along who's exercised greater faith and paid a price and then through them, you gain greater access in that direct channel because
0:57:57 - 0:58:17that direct channel is never violated, but it can be boosted up by the presence of someone who has more light than you not. Can it always is that is why the wicked cast out the righteous because they i if you lie to yourself, you can crush your conscience down to the point where it doesn't bother you
0:58:17 - 0:58:42so much to do bad things. But the second a being of light comes around the spirit within you, it, it's like the Grinch stole Christmas where his heart gets bigger around those little creatures in Whoville and uh your spirit, the intensity of the flow increases. And all of a sudden, it's like the emperor
0:58:41 - 0:59:09has no clothes and they hate that they hate feeling bad for their wickedness and so they'll attack you anyway. Um So very few people have direct access to, I should say unimpeded, direct access. Very few people have unimpeded, direct access. That is in fact the meaning of the phrase, the fullness of
0:59:09 - 0:59:41the spirit. And that is a very big deal to obtain. Instead, almost everyone will access something less. And it's, it's constrained by what they're able to perceive and what they're willing to receive, appreciate and become now that constrained representation of God that flow, that's constrained. That
0:59:40 - 1:00:13is the very person of God to us, but it is not the very person of God in his fullness. It's not literally the unimpeded God it's not the fullness. And again, coming back to some of these themes, let's just read some scriptures. The point is that angels speak by the power of the Holy Ghost. This is the
1:00:13 - 1:00:43, the, the phrase, the angel of the Lord. It's the class of representations that are more like God than you. It's not one specific entity. It is a role fulfilled by a person of sufficient stature compared to you. It's a person who eclipses you with God or an angel. That's those are in my book synonymous
1:00:42 - 1:01:07. But I realized that other people don't use those interchangeably Exodus 71. And the Lord said unto Moses, see, I have made thee a God to Pharaoh and Aaron, thy brother shall be thy prophet. Most folks have a big problem with that verse John 15. But when the comforter is come, who I will send unto you
1:01:07 - 1:01:30from the Father, even the spirit of truth which proceeded from the Father. He shall testify of me. And ye also shall bear witness because ye have been with me from the beginning. I included that second verse because it's important. It says that the apostles will have direct access to the spirit of truth
1:01:30 - 1:01:57, that the spirit of truth testifies of Christ. But that the people, the the apostles will bear witness or demonstrate Christ. It's the same word witness and demonstrate in Greek and Hebrew because ye have been with me from the beginning. So he's saying the spirit of truth will testify to those who are
1:01:57 - 1:02:20ready to receive it. And for everyone else, they'll have to rely on your demonstration to see how I am. Because you know me, to the extent that you've seen me from the beginning of my ministry, it's very, very plainly written. But you could read this 100 times and not get it. It just says it right there
1:02:20 - 1:02:49, John 16 howbeit. When he the spirit of truth has come, he will guide you into all truth. Remember, it's a flow for he shall not speak of himself but whatsoever he shall hear that he shall speak and he will show you things to come. He shall glorify me for he shall receive of mine and shall show it unto
1:02:49 - 1:03:13you all things that the father hath are mine. Therefore said I that he shall take of mine and shall show it unto you. That is the idea of eclipsing right there. Three verses in John 17. The Lord said, I have manifested thy name. He's praying to the father unto the men which thou GST me out of the world
1:03:12 - 1:03:42. So the father showed himself to the son, the son showed himself to the apostles and the other disciples and they go out to show him to the world. Now, where is the holy ghost fit in this? It's through the whole thing. It's there is no instance of any of that that doesn't include the holy ghost. John
1:03:42 - 1:04:05332 what he has seen and heard of that? He testifies and no one receives his testimony that's uh spoken about Jesus. What he's showing is what he has seen and heard. He's demonstrating to the world, his personal experience with the father, but no one receives his testimony. No one follows his example
1:04:05 - 1:04:46. Acts 2215 for you will be his witnesses to all men testifying of what you have seen and heard. Do you see much more could be said about this? This is just a quick splash. OK. So I shared a picture. Actually, I have that picture. Let's see, please hold documents. Um I shared a picture not too long ago
1:04:46 - 0:00:00. That was from a book. I wrote a very long time ago. It was a pamphlet and uh I pulled it because I replaced the whole thing with subsequent books. And so it wasn't the best uh the best description of the ideas in it. But um one thing that didn't get carried over was this picture I'll pull up here.
0:00:00 - 1:05:34Um So let's see what I'm sorry. This screen isn't functioning well. When a messenger of God such as a prophet on earth or an angel in heaven comes to bring a message. He does. So by the power of the Holy Spirit, which means at least two things what he delivers is in complete accord with the spirit that
1:05:34 - 1:06:04is the very person of God. And um I wanted to touch on this. Um That's actually a specific and rare type of whatever you want to call this being a messenger or even of the message itself. And then the hearer, the combination of the messenger, the message and the hearer has to be just right in order for
1:06:04 - 1:06:29this description to fit for what he, what he delivers to be in complete accord with the very person of God. It's, it's actually only going to, to be guaranteed to be in accord with the person of God as far as he understands God to be. And even that is only if that messenger is fully reconcile to the
1:06:29 - 1:06:59Lord. And even then it's going to be constrained by the limits that that messenger perceives in the hearer when that person literally says to the hearer, exactly what God would in their place. They are performing the role of the angel of the Lord. Most messengers from God are not at that level. What
1:06:59 - 1:07:25they're doing is sincerely sharing their understanding as far as they have it. It could be more or less than what the hearer has. And I think I'm thoroughly butchering this idea, but just to complete the butchering, um any person can serve as a messenger of God, whether they know they're doing so or
1:07:25 - 1:07:46even if they don't believe in God, that just means that they have some facet of light that exceeds the person that's hearing them. I actually did a presentation on this I think it's called see eye to eye when the Lord brings Zion. But here's this old picture, here's two people and let's pretend that
1:07:46 - 1:08:15you can illustrate all spiritual intelligence, let's say, or character qualities or knowledge or wisdom or however you wanna slice it into these topics. And so you could draw a graph of where each of these people stand on these topics as far as how much light and truth they've attained. Any two people
1:08:14 - 1:08:44will be different, that's guaranteed. However, most people are going to have an advantage in some aspect in one or more facets of light and truth and some disadvantages in others. And so two honest people can combine to form the outer bound of this if they talk with each other and reason one with another
1:08:44 - 1:09:11about why they believe what they do and they can both come away edified, they should be ringing some bells of scriptural bingo. They can both come away edified and where two or more people are gathered with the intent of becoming more like Jesus or of improving in any way, then he is in their midst because
1:09:10 - 1:09:35the sum of the parts is greater than each individual. So as they combine their understanding of what is best, they will both come away with more of Christ than either had in the first place. And that is the definition of what Jesus was talking about when he said that. But no one understands that. But
1:09:35 - 1:10:05that's what it is. So to access, the very person of God is quite something that's, that is no small thing. It is a very big deal what it takes to orchestrate that is enormous uh across the board in terms of the recipient and the giver. All right. Uh With a little experience, you can distinguish the voice
1:10:05 - 1:10:28of the spirit in the overwhelming majority of cases, it will be that of the father or that of Christ. So here's the thing. Any time you find any light that is greater than what you have, it is completely accurate to call it the voice of the spirit, the Father or Christ, you cannot tell the difference
1:10:28 - 1:11:09between those three and they're all accurate because it's all coming through that three leveled uh conduit, no one lower than Christ has the ability to discern between the Father and Christ. You have no ability to tell the difference between them. Only Jesus does. Ok? Well, I, I made the point and I
1:11:09 - 1:11:36didn't give you any application of it like this is why it's so bad to ignore or reject further light and truth. When it's offered to you, you are judged exactly as you would be if God himself were giving it to you. Because for you, that is the case, no matter who is giving it to you, offering it to you
1:11:35 - 1:11:57. Do you understand that it's really important? This is how it works. It's not, oh, I'm gonna take things lightly. And then one day when the Lord speaks to me directly, I'm gonna pay attention. He is speaking to you directly. Now he is speaking to you directly. When he sends a prophet to testify to you
1:11:57 - 1:12:23, he is speaking to you directly. When you realize your car payment is late for the 10th time and you really should set up auto pay it. It's that the whole set of improvement that you can think of. That's what you're responsible for as if from the very mouth of God standing in front of you at the throne
1:12:22 - 1:12:52of God and he takes you up to heaven and he says, turn on auto pay. It's that serious. Even in the most mundane of situations, there, there is no escape from these, the, the completeness of the responsibility. If you set your heart to be a witness of Christ, which means a demonstration of Christ at all
1:12:51 - 1:13:14times in all places that is a covenant to do the absolute best that you can conceive of doing at all times in all places. There's, there's no partiality in that. It's that important. And that is the path that is the gate, that is not the path, that's the gate. And if you're still struggling with that
1:13:14 - 1:13:33, the struggle is real and it is difficult. It's the most difficult thing you've done until after you've done it. And then more difficult things come. But you're in spiritual kindergarten. There's, there is nothing for you to do except reread the book I wrote called Repentance until you decide you're
1:13:33 - 1:13:58actually gonna do it. There's no magic. It's never gonna be easier. The only thing God can do to help you that will make it easier than it already is, is to make your life a living hell because only as he starts exposing you to your foolishness of your, your present position, will you finally start believing
1:13:58 - 1:14:21that He is as good as he says, he is? Or at least better than you think he is? That's what you're inviting. It's called the buffetings of Satan in the scriptures. And that's the path you're on. If you're still struggling with this, that's, that's what's coming. It's very serious. It's very serious fittingly
1:14:20 - 1:14:46. This wasn't intended, but at least by me. So he quotes towards the end. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me so that they may be one as we are one. That's the Niv. Uh I would rephrase this and I would, I would, I would write it as Holy Father. Keep these in your
1:14:45 - 1:15:22character that they may be one as we are. Now, this isn't different because the name of God is the character of God. But it's important to look at the Greek and see that this bit of the name you gave me. Um How does God give you a name or better asked, how did the Father give the Lord his name. He showed
1:15:22 - 1:15:50the son how he was, how the father was. The father showed the son how the father was. That's how he gave him his name. He revealed how he was line upon line throughout the life of Jesus. Again, DNC 93 is the best source for this. But it's all through the scriptures. So people could read John 1711 as
1:15:50 - 1:16:21the niv has it and assume what this means is holy. Father, protect them with magic power just as you magically gave me your name. That's not how it works. The Father empowered the son by showing the son how he was lying upon line. And then the sun received that he received grace for grace as he reacted
1:16:20 - 1:16:49to each additional revelation of an increment of God's character by becoming that way himself and treating all people all the time in line with that character. And that's how he obtained a fullness and that's how we do it too. And so what he prayed was in John 17. He's saying I have to leave these people
1:16:49 - 1:17:11and I have been the demonstration to them of how you are, please take care of them because I can't do that any more because I'm leaving. He said that while he was in the world, he was the light of the world. But if he's not in the world, he's not the light of the world anymore. Who is well, we're supposed
1:17:10 - 1:17:49to be, that's our job. He said, ye are the light of the world. And so how do you become the light? You get oil and you set it on fire. So you learn as much as you can about how he is. You allow everything that doesn't endure that to burn inside of you. You let it go gratefully, you let it go just like
1:17:49 - 1:18:19you'd put an offering on an altar and burn it. And as you do that, he will replace the part that is sacrificed with something that is better. And you rinse and you repeat to end, he writes through the spirit of God in Christ, we too can become one people united in God through the Holy Spirit who will
1:18:19 - 1:18:44act as the glue between all believers who worship Him in spirit and in truth couldn't agree more. We become united in Christ as we become more like Him through finding and following increasingly better examples of what he is like that starts right where you stand in applying everything you've already
1:18:43 - 1:19:00learned about Him. And as you do that, you can request and you will receive more as God sends you better examples and examples to show you more of how he is.
