So, uh from time to time people email me and they say, what can I do to help? So they kind of catch wind of uh a little slice of what it takes to write these books and make these videos and they say, what can I do to help? It's interesting and broad brushing. So if you've asked this question, you know
, maybe I'm not talking about you don't get offended. Um But then I reply and the re reply goes, something like this, the most important thing that you can do is to repent of your sins. So get to the point where you can say that everything you do is what you uh sincerely believe God would do in your
place and you never do anything that you don't think he would do in your place. And then we can go from there. So that's not what people want to hear, they want to hear. Oh, let me send you this draft and you can proofread it for me or I don't know something like that. Um And a lot of times like in the
New Testament where people come to Jesus and ask him questions, they didn't like what he had to say and then they went away sorrowing or they just disappear and that's the last we hear from them. Right. So, um, I find this interesting because I have also actually literally asked people to do certain
things in general. Of course, repentance is number one on the list. But I'm about to remind you of a few other things. Yeah, I know people come and go and seize everything, but um very few people who watch this stuff have done those things. So that's interesting. And I think this is a human tendency
. There's a phrase in the scriptures where God says, I want obedience, not sacrifice. And this is a general problem because people tend to think there's some other way to approach God other than the way he says. And that's really weird that people think that. So this is sort of just another echo of that
problem. So, um in general, I think if someone says, how can I help the answer is do what you can. And then um if everyone does that, what that looks like will be slightly different for every person. But if everyone does that, then we can reach everyone because it turns out that the obviousness of light
and effectiveness of sharing it has to do with who you're sharing it with how much light they already have and how much light you already have. Because you can only perceive so much beyond where you are. And it turns out that there are a whole lot of avenues that are closed to me, but they might be open
to you and the things that I do you can't do. Not exactly overlapping anyway. So if, what you're focusing on is some uh subset of what you might do. It could be the case, that much greater value lies in the other things that you leave undone. And so if you come to me asking what you ought to do, I'm
going to point you to the things of greatest value as far as I see it and you might not like what you hear because I'm, that's what I'm going to tell you is repent of your sins and become holy and then we can go from there. But while you're at it and here's your refresher, you can and should share with
others what God has already taught you. Now, I have to put it in that order because I know that what you're going to do is hear everything I just said, filter out almost all of it and focus on share stuff with other people. Now, frankly, if that's all you do, it's better than nothing for them because
maybe they'll repent but nothing you do other than repenting will make up for not repenting. You actually have to forsake your sins. You actually have to obey God. And until you get to that point, nothing else matters. Now, the funny thing about this is that until you get to that point, you also will
not be an effective instrument in God's hands to share light with other people. Doesn't mean it can't be done, but it's not going to be significantly different than anything else they've experienced because you will lack his power and his glory. You can't be a conduit for those things beyond your repentance
, the limits of your repentance. And then even after that, it's a, it's a very wide, um, breadth of variety and how far someone has come. But anyway, so, um, let me talk about how some little things are actually really big things and it's, uh, it's unfortunate that they're going the way they're going
. So, um, I don't keep close tabs on how many books I sell. I don't really care. It doesn't, uh, I don't get any money from that. Um, I care in the sense that I would like people to read these things, but I can't really track that. I've made all my books available for free through PDF and I don't have
any metrics on those. I don't have any metrics on how many downloads for the audio books. And frankly, the reports for Amazon self publishing are horrifically bad and so I just don't even bother. So, um, but a lot of books have moved. I know that and a lot of people have read those books and I'd say
that like, maybe, maybe less than 1% of people have left a review on Amazon. And, um, here's the funny thing about that. So I certainly don't need to read these reviews to feel good about myself. And I don't really care what other people have to say about what I've written. But those reviews absolutely
influence other people on whether or not they're going to read the book and the way I see this I brought this up before and some people got really upset because how dare I expect anything in return for years and years of my life and uh tons of tough stuff in life as a result of the things I've shared
and that I'm gonna share, how dare I expect someone to leave a review for a book I've given them for free. Right. That's cost me greatly. But I'm smiling because, you know, you already know how ridiculous I think that is. But um, here's the thing, sometimes little stuff manifest really big stuff. And
the thing is that if you're not willing to le leave an Amazon review, like what are you willing to do in your life about the things that you've read? I mean, if you're not willing to just write two sentences of, yeah, this is a decent book, whatever or maybe it wasn't, right. But uh if you can't share
with other people how it helped you, how are you changing anything in your life as a result of reading it? And if you haven't then, um, there's really no point in reading it. Right. Or I did an absolutely terrible job, which might absolutely be the case. So, um, I know that there are some really humble
people out there and they don't write reviews because they feel like they have nothing worthy of reading to say, like they don't think they have anything worth saying. And, uh, I challenge you to not believe that that's the case. I know for a fact in, in some cases, uh you know, one or two people have
emailed me and said, put up a review because I know you asked for it, but I don't think it's worth reading and blah, blah, blah and I disagree, right? You have to understand people have windows of perception of value. And uh I already did my part, right? I wrote the book and I cannot reach more people
than I'm reaching through the ways I'm already doing this. And so if we want to help other people learn these things, we have to actually say something. Um a very, very easy way of doing that is leaving an Amazon review. It also helps drown out the trolls because there are plenty of people who have nothing
better to do than leave negative reviews even when they haven't read the book. And it's really obvious. Um But beyond that, even what does it take to just share a quote with somebody or even better, even better put things into your own words. You don't even have to cite me. I don't ask for that. Give
you permission. Put things in your own words, just if you have found something that has value, this is across the board, not just stuff that you've heard from me. If you have things that you find are valuable, share them with other people. And uh that is something that no one else can do just you, right
? Only you can share the things that you find valuable. And that's how all of this goes forward as we crank along in the end times, the proliferation of God's light happens as people receive it from wherever and share it with other people. Now, the the beauty of this is that, you know, some of you who
share with me experiences of being in churches doing missionary work or witnessing or whatever the heck you call it. It doesn't matter. You're not selling anything for once in your life. You're actually just helping people, right? You don't care what church they go to. You don't care what scriptures
they read. You just care whether they find things of greater value and all you have to do is share stuff and then move on. It's a piece of cake, right? And you can put it in your own words, it doesn't even have to be churchy like I make videos. Uh Sometimes I'm certainly writing things where I'm intentionally
not using any jargon. Uh And I'm doing that because I want to make it accessible for people that don't necessarily share a whole bunch of beliefs that I have or experiences or meanings of words. All you have to do is share value. So the other easy part of this is you just have to find people who need
the thing that you have that has value. Like if you have a car that you absolutely love and you think it's the best car in the world, you're probably not gonna go preach about that to someone who doesn't need a car, right? So we need to learn to exercise our brains uh in our hearts. So being sincere
but also being intentional in uh chopping up this stuff that we have this highly valuable stuff into chunks that are specific for situations and people and actually doing the work of sharing it and it, it should, if it feels like work, you're doing it wrong, right? It's just you, if you care about someone
and you have something that you think that would be valuable to them, it should feel more like giving someone a present on Christmas and if it doesn't feel that way, you're doing it wrong, right? So some things to think about, but also please leave some Amazon reviews, please share videos with people
and uh make your own stuff, make your own versions of stuff and share that stuff with other people. Um It's real easy right now because we can share links and things that those things will not last. So make use of them now. And then as time goes on, uh convert over transition to using your own words
for things, it's really important. And so it's, it's uh it's time to start outwardly living what you inwardly believe. It's time and it's important and I'll say more about that later.
