All right. So tying this all up. Um Do you think that the first time Jesus showed value to others in his life was when he turned 30 went on his mission? Why is it that his local townspeople and even his siblings did not see value in him to the extent that when he began his mission, they marveled, which
isn't a good thing. Um It's not pleasant reaction that this person they had known their whole lives. His whole life was acting so different than he had before. My question is what changed. So if you're like most other people, you would say, well, that's when he was supposed to start his mission. So he
started acting differently. But um that's only partially true. He started acting differently. But um it's because the context had changed, he did not change as a person, he ceased to deliver value in a more um in a more difficult to, to see way and it began delivering value in an easier to see way. So
let's go back to Moses. Well, in that pattern continued, it wasn't a light switch, they got flipped. It was a continual process because throughout his ministry, he actually sorted things that he said and did according to how easily they would be accepted. And so he saved the um I don't wanna say the
easiest things for last, but he saved the easiest to see things for last. And of course, the hatred of people and reaction to that increased because it became harder and harder for them to remain in self deception, given the evidences that, that he was giving. So if we go back to Moses, we don't know
. Um At least I, I don't recall off the top of my head. I don't believe that there are scriptures to say exactly how old Moses was when um he went off to Midian or when he came back. Uh But traditionally, anyway, people believed that he was probably around 40 whatever the case might be. Um Moses lived
some life before he was called by God to be the deliverer of Israel. So my question is, do you think he started acting like Moses just when that happened? Or is Jesus an example in this too? And uh were there signs that he was different and better? Which is what holy means before he was called to be
uh what he's known as? And the answer is yes. So now let me flip this question around. Let's suppose that you lived in jesus' town his whole life and you knew him well, it is a small town. So people did know each other fairly well, very, very small village. Right? He grew up in. So how upset would you
be after you die and find out that you live for 30 years with the son of God? And you never ever did anything differently as a result. You could have known him for 30 years, face to face and you didn't because you just thought he was a normal person or, or, and, and I, I say that knowing that he was
not a normal person, he was different. But you would have seen that difference as something of no value, right? Or something of negative value even. Um So what lessons can we take from this? Um As time goes on, things become plainer, but the earlier you react to them appropriately, the better off you'll
be OK. So how do we uh how do we apply this to the Israelites after they left Israel? Even though I showed you that picture of Moses. And then everybody else, even though there was this big distance between them still in that extreme case, um the the key to them finding greater value than they saw in
him was to recognize what was right in front of their face. So it wasn't that they had to search for something more. They just had to honestly react to what they had already seen. This is how it is with us and God, that's the pattern and it echoes through every other facet of His kingdom. The, the way
forward is not by uh looking beyond the mark, it's by paying greater attention to what's right in front of your face. They were given reason after reason, after reason to realize that this was not a normal person, but they just kept treating him like a normal person as much as could be done. Given the
circumstances. It was like this very strong gravity pulling down their view of who he was down to where they were. How does this hurt? How did this hurt their relationship with God? Well, messengers are sent as way points in the, the way to heaven. The way it's described in Genesis is uh the Cherubim
with a flaming sword points every way, every way, every direction to keep the way of life. If you look up that word, keep it, it means to guard. But that passage doesn't mean what people think it means. It's um it's that so if you recall, Adam was given Dominion over the earth, um strictly speaking,
he is the prince of the earth. Um He kind of lost that title to Satan when he fell, but it is his right to reign under Jesus who reigns under the father. Um When he fell, these angels were appointed to keep the way of the tree of life. Why? So that he wouldn't reach out his hand or man wouldn't and uh
unknowingly condemn themselves. Well, the there's a lot here, I'm not trying to explain this fully. But my point is that angels are meant to provide a cascading representation of God's glory to everyone no matter where they stand. That's that sword that points every way that flaming sword, it's to help
us understand the gravity of God's glory. And the value of being here is a state of preparation, how important it is that we take advantage of that and they are given as way points to show us increments of how good God is so that we can emulate them in our own lives. And as we do, so we come up higher
and higher and we pass the Sentinels who stand to guard the way, not through some kind of Mumbo jumbo secrets, you know, passwords and stuff like that. But through our character, you can only pass a messenger who you are holier than so um everything I say, I'm just trying not to say more. It's, there's
so much to say. Um and it's so important. Um So, um with Moses, the way to see him for more of what he was, was to pay attention to what they were being shown. Uh I could talk for hours on this and take you through the Exodus. Um But that wouldn't be helpful right now. What I wanna do is say I want you
to think about your life and if you do this today, that's great. But this is something you're gonna have to do for a while and, and a couple of times and I want you to think of everything that you value in your life because because I've been talking about this in terms of messengers, but God calls us
in and through all things, messengers are just the most useful piece of that. Uh uh the most useful tool in that toolbox because only humans are created in God's image. And so humans have the greatest capacity uh for good and for evil out of all of his creations. Um So he's able to use us for more. But
everything in your life is a tool that he's trying to use to draw you nearer to him. But the problem is I could go back over this picture. I don't think I erased it yet. The problem is we don't see just how important our day to day lives are. We're focused beyond the mark and then we miss the mark. Let's
see. Remember that the very best, this is one decision, one action, one choice. Your life is full of choices, even in a given day, it's full of choices and every one of these is tied together. I don't have that drawn here. I have it drawn in a slideshow. I'll show you at some other point. You have to
get on to this with every single thing and getting on to one of these is better than this. But this makes a world of difference. So um in everything in your life. There's some level of value that you perceive and your task is to find the things of greatest value, the things, the people, the situations
, the information of absolute greatest value. That's his own topic. And I can't get on to that right now, but just think about what benefits and by how much and realize uh echoing this earlier theme, you don't know what holy is God knows. And so you have to seek Him so that he can show you despise not
the revelations of the Lord. Why? Because that's how you're gonna know what's better than what's before you. Because we, we don't have the sensors to see that we just see right above where we are and that's the space we have to focus on. So if there are things in your life that are less than ideal, that
lie in your power to improve, you should do that always with reason, always appropriately. But it's very important that is the path that will lead you closer to God, closer to your purpose in this life, closer to the, the indescribable joy that He has that he wants you to have. So I encourage you to
do all of this. And again, as you focus on the things right in front of your face, all those things that are far off will come into focus. And if you try to skip over that, it will just lead you to more and more misery. I if you, if you can't stand and say that you're sinless, that everything you do
is what you imagine God to do in your place, that you do. Nothing that you couldn't imagine him doing in your place, that you're not perfectly prosecuting the will of God as far as you understand it in your life. If you can't say that, then there is nothing else you should be worried about except getting
to the point that you can and diving into mysteries and youtube videos of random guys that's not gonna help you. The scriptures lay out what you need to do. I've summarized those. There's a good collection of those in my book called Repentance. That's all you need to worry about until you're through
that gate because nothing else will help you. There's no side um sidestepping that there's no shortcut around it. So repent of all of your sins forsake them and then start to model what God would do in your life and do it all the time. Then he'll teach you what has value beyond what you've seen already
. And you need to do that. You need to let go of all those blue arrows that were below the flat line. Everything that has less value than some other option. You need to let go of that and seek the best
